I excitedly got off the train and looked around. "It's good to be back." I said to basically no one in particular. "Y/n!" I hear a familiar voice call out and saw Herminie, Ron, and Harry run over. I smiled and dropped my bags when Hermione tackled me into a tight hug. "Hey, guys! Gosh, I missed you!" I said happily before hugging Ron and Harry. "Us too! Are you excited to finish this year?" Harry asked as we headed to the castle.

"More than excited. I get to leave Snape's class for good after this year." I said with an eye roll as they all laughed. "I remember when you pulled that glitter prank on him with my brothers." Ron said as I giggled at that memory. "I think I can even see something shine in his hair every now in then if he turns just right." Hermione said as we all laughed. "Man, I got a month of detention for that while your brothers made off before he could get them. It was worth it though." I said with a smile as we got to our dormitories.

I changed into a gray jumper with my red and gold tie before putting on black jeans and a pair of black boots. I quickly threw on my robes and hurried down to the Grand Hall before entering the Commonds. I saw Harry and the gang waiting for me as I walked over. "Man, I'm famished." I said as my stomach growled. But alas, we have to wait for the first years to be sorted to their houses. Each house cheering for each student that joins them.

Dumbledore did his normal speech before the food appeared. I decided to grab an apple fritter and a sandwich or two. "Hey, Y/n." Harry nudged me as I looked at him with a mouth full of food. "Snape hasn't taken his eyes off you since you came in." He whispered as I looked to see that Snape was indeed staring at me with those coal black eyes of his. I swallowed and shrugged. "So? He always does. He just naturally hates me." I said and took another bite of my sandwich.

I look back at Snape as he was eating while facing the other professors as I see a few tiny shines in his hair. "Plus, I can still see the glitter in his hair. That stuff lasts forever." I said with a giggle as he chuckled. After the feast was other it was time to get on with classes. I look at my schedule and see that I have Hagrid's class first. 'What a way to start the day.' I thought with a smile. I've always considered Hagrid like a big soft teddy bear with a warm heart.

I continued walking with my books in my hands and turn to look away for one second before bumping into something. Or rather...someone. This caused me to drop my books and almost fall back if it weren't for arms catching me. "Watch where you're going, Miss L/n." A familiar voice sneered as I look up to see Snape towering over me. 'Here we go again.' I thought and rolled my eyes, pushing him away when I was back on my feet before bending down to pick up my books.

"I was. We both happened to be going around the corner. Obviously, neither of us know what's on the other side. Other wise I would've avoided you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I don't want to be late for class because of your sneering and bickering." I said calmly and went to walk past him, but he quickly snatched my arm. "How dare you speak to a professor this way! With this attitude, you should be suspended." He sneered. "Sir, you're the only professor I get an attitude with because you get one with me. You should know this by now, teaching me for a seventh year, I will not tolerate how you treat me. Now, if you would so kindly let go. I have a class to be getting to." I said as he seemed to stand bewildered.

I took it in my liberty to pull my arm from his grip and continued to class. I dusted my robes off and glanced to see he was still standing. I rolled my eyes and saw the Golden Trio waiting for me. "Hey, guys!" I said with a smile as I caught up to them. "Hey, Y/n. What was that between you and Snape?" Ron asked as I shook my head. "Just Snape being....Snape. Come on. Let's get to class. I don't wanna be late cause of him." I said as they nodded. We walked over to Hagrid and smiled happily.

He was teaching us about Nifflers and how they take a minute not get used to people. He let us all feed some of them as I sat down on the grass. I had a hand full of treats as I held my hand out and waited patiently for the Nifflees. One came over and took one as some more came over. I smiled happily to see that I managed to get some to come around. One looked at me as I held my empty hand out. It sniffed before jumping towards me and ran around my body, tickling me with its small little feet.

I started giggling as some more followed. "Seems like they like yer, Y/n." Hagrid said with a chuckle as the other students watched in awe. "I-I g-guess they, haha, do! B-But h-how do I, haha, s-stop, haha, them?" I asked as my sides started to hurt from laughing. "Alright, you little troublemakers. That's enough." Hagrid boomed with a chuckle as they all stopped and ran off. "You have quite a way with creatures, don't yer?" He asked and helped me up.

"Guess so. Must run in my blood." I said as I dusted myself off with a smile. When class was over it was onto my next one. Potions. God, not with him, but I guess it's best to get it over now then have it at the end of the day. The class would be better if my friends were in it, but sadly, they are not. Not even the Weasley Twins, my partners in crime. I walked over and sat at my normal seat, setting my books beside me before opening a book with my quill read to take notes.

The classroom started to fill up as a first year Hufflepuff was trying to find a seat but no one would let her sit. "Psst." I said as she looked at me. I smiled gently and moved my books before patting to the seat beside me. She shyly walked over and took a seat beside me. "Hi, I'm Y/n. You're a first year, right?" I asked as she nodded. "What's your name?" I asked softly, making sure she wasn't uneasy. "Ellie." She said as she set her books down.

"Scared of Snape?" I asked as she glanced at me and nodded. "Don't worry. I won't let him bully you." I said with a smile as on que, the big school bully himself walked in with his cloak flowing behind him. "Quills out. You'll be taking a test." He said as the class groaned. Ellie looked nervous as she picked up her quill with a shaky hand. "Hey, don't worry. You got this." I said with encouragement as she looked at me with a small smile and nodded.

After the test, Snape was teaching us about the love potion, 'Amortentia'. I've always wondered what mine would like. We needed to be in pairs so I paired up with Ellie and had her gather the ingredients which were: Ashwinder eggs, rose thorns, peppermint, powdered moonstone, pearl dust, and rose petals. I carefully and skillfully added the ingredients in while stirring the liquid. I smiled as I successfully completed it when steam rose and raised my hand before anyone else.

Snape rolled his eyes and strutted over before taking in a deep smell, his face becoming slightly puzzled before going back to its normal emotionless expression. "You seemed to have brewed your potion correctly again, Miss L/n. Now, what do you smell, Miss Short?" He asked Ellie as she nervously leaned over the steam and took a soft sniff. "Apples, cinnamon, and short cake." She said softly. "Now, you, Miss L/n." He said as he was towering over me. I took a gentle sniff and hummed as the scent gave me peace. My scent was......
