Okay seriously though, it's so cute and adorable that his sleeves cover part of his hands 🥺💖

I walked closer and saw L/n sitting up on a bed as she glared at Lockhart. "You're not healing me like you 'healed' Harry. You didn't leave any bloody bones left in his wrist!" She said as she held her mid-section. I noticed a few bruises on her face and felt myself become slight concerned, but of course I didn't show it. "I would say that's the smartest choice. No doubt you would want to be walking around instead of being jello on a bed." I said as they looked over.

"Great. Why don't we invite the whole staff in here? It's just a bloody broken rib!" L/n said, rolling her shinning e/c eyes, slamming her hand down on the bed. "I just want to help, Y/n." Lockhart said and put a hand on hers as she quickly swiped her hand away from him. "Oh, please. I'd rather have extra classes with Professor Snape than have you heal me." She sneered with a glare. I felt my lips twitch upwards before stopping myself. "Don't you have a class to be teaching, Professor Lockhart?" I asked as he looked at me.

"I just wanted to check on my top student." He said as I rolled my eyes with L/n. "You just want me to fall for you, but it's not gonna work. I'm not like the other girls, Professor. I don't go after fame or looks." She shot at him. "Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to rest now." She said as he looked taken back at her remark. He stood up with a sigh and started walking out. "Boy or man, they all have one thought. No offense." She sighed and tossed her head back as she laid down.

"Might I ask what happened?" I asked, walking over to in front of her. She seemed hesitant and looked away. "Just a few Slytherins got a hold of me." She said softly as I could tell it was only part of the truth. I stared at her as she looked in thought on whether to tell me the rest or not. "They know about me. About my....eyes. My curse." She said in a low whisper. "No doubt the whole school knows by now. But they only ones who were supposed to know was the staff and the Golden Trio." She said and messed with her jumper, still having a hand on her mid-section.

I wasn't good at handling emotions so I sat down and pulled out a vial of 'Pepper-Up'. "Here. Take this. It'll help you heal up in time for your Quidditch match." I said as she gently took it and drank it down, making a disgusted face. I felt my lips twitch up again and shook my head, stopping the smile once more. "Might I be able to look at your rib?" I asked as she seemed to be surprised and hesitant. She lifted her jumper a little and showed a decent sized dark bruise.

Without thinking, I gently put my hands on it as she jumped back before wincing. "I'm sorry." I said, pulling my hand back. "No, no. You're alright. You're hand is just freezing." She said with a soft giggle that for some reason made my heart jump a little. "I'm just going to feel where it hurts the most. Perhaps if it's not too badly broken, I could heal it up unlike that featherbrain, Lockhart." I sneered with a groan as she seemed to giggle at this. I slowly went and felt around, feeling it was only one rib that broke. I pulled out my wand as she looked at me with slight concern.

"It'll be alright. Brackium Emendo." I said and light touched the tip of my wand to her rib. I stood up and put my wand away before holding a hand out. She looked at me then my hand. "Come on now. We don't have all day, Miss L/n." I said as she gently grabbed my hand. I helped her up, resting my other hand on her lower back, making sure she doesn't fall. "How are you feeling?" I asked as she looked at me with a smile. "Wonderful! Like I didn't have a broken rib at all! Thanks, Professor!" She said happily as I went to say something, but was tackled into a hug.

I was surprised as I looked down at the h/c girl, taking a deep breath. I got a sniff of her sweet honeysuckle sent with a mix of apple fritters. No, it couldn't be she's a student. It wouldn't be right. Nor professional. I shook my head and awkwardly patted her head, her hair being soft as silk, making me want to drag my fingers through it. I crossed that though out of my mind as she pulled away with an expression like she was in deep thought.

"Well, Miss L/n, I suspect you to do great in your Quidditch game and gain some points." I said as she look confused. "But I'm not in your house, sir." She said and tilted her cute little head. "Doesn't mean I don't expect the best from you." I said and started to walk away. "I expect to see you out there with your rib being healed, Miss L/n." I said as I felt her eyes watching my back.

Y/n's POV

I didn't think when I hugged him but I was kinda glad I did. He smelt of my Amortentia. I pulled away after he seemed to awkwardly pay my head and stared into space. 'Why would it be him? He hates me and let alone he's my professor. It wouldn't be right. He may not be the best teacher but he doesn't deserve to lose his job.' I thought as my mind wondered over to why he helped me in the first place. His voice brought me back to reality as I looked up at him.

"Well, Miss L/n, I suspect you to do great in your Quidditch game and gain some points." He said as I was confused. I wasn't even in his house and he's wanting me to have a good game? "But I'm not in your house, sir." I said, tilting my head a bit. "Doesn't mean I don't expect the best from you." He said as I couldn't tell if it was a compliment or he's just saying it. He started to walk away with his cap flowing behind him. "I expect to see you out there with your rib being healed, Miss L/n." He said as I couldn't help but feel I'd let him down if I wasn't. But there's no doubt that....
