Moving Day
Today was Finley's last day at school. After class, he went to his locker with his friends. "It won't be the same here without you." Phoenix said. "Yes, first Aaron and now you." Darius said. "Guys, it's not like we'll never see each other again, you can come over whenever you want and we still can meet each other." Finley smiled. "Yeah, you're right, but now another question, has any of you heard from Aaron again?" Kyle asked. "Yes, I spoke to him on the phone two weeks ago, he's fine so far, but he lives now in Orlando now and no longer in Tampa." Aiden said. "I think I should call him too." Darius said. Finley stuffed his school books into his backpack and put the posters and pictures, stuck inside his locker, in his school folder. "Luckily Will picks me up today." Finley said, shouldering his backpack. "Is Kelly working?" Pearl asked. "No, they have their days off today, but the boys are helping with loading the furniture into the moving trucks." Finley said. Outside, Will was waiting for Finley by the parking lots. "Do you have a new car?" Adan asked. "No, it's rented, but we have to pick up the garden furniture, which we ordered a few weeks ago." Finley said. "Hey, how are you?" Will asked as Finley got into the minibus. "On the one hand, I'm glad that I don't have to see Renée anymore and on the other, I'm a bit scared because I don't know what to expect." Finley said. "Hey, I know it will not be easy, but what I do know is that you will make new friends very quickly and you will also find a new soccer team quickly." Will smiled. "That's also something I'm scared about, what if I get another asthma attack during soccer practice or a tournament or game." Finley said. "But that's what you've got your inhaler for and maybe you can take a position where you don't have to strain yourself." Will said. Finley just shrugged his shoulders and Will drove off. After the two picked up the garden furniture, they drove to the new house, where everyone was already busy. "Hey, there you are, how was your last day of school?" Kelly asked. Finley shrugged his shoulders. "Is there anything I can do to help?" Finley asked. "You can get the boxes out of the van." Kelly said. "Do you need help?" Connor asked. "No, I can do this on my own." Finley said, trying to lift one of the boxes out of the van. "Are you sure?" Connor asked, standing next to the van and smiled. "Okay, I'm not getting it, can you help me please?" Finley asked. "Yeah sure, come on." Connor smiled and gave him Finley one of the slightly lighter boxes from the van. When Finley came into the entrance area, the ladies were busy assigning the boxes to the rooms. "Where do I put the box?" Finley asked. Kim looked at the box briefly. "It comes to Adam and my room." Kim said. "And which room is yours?" Finley asked. "When you come up the door straight ahead, we've written the names on the door." Kim smiled. When all boxes and furniture were in the house, Connor paid the moving men and closed the door. In the living room, Kelly and Matt were busy setting up the new couch, while Finley, together with Will and Jay, connected the TV, including the game consoles. For dinner they ordered something from the Chinese Restaurant and enjoyed the first evening in their new home.
