"Alright, today you and your partner will be getting your designated pet to take care of." Mr. Kim announced. Today, Mr. Kim had made partners sit next to each other in class, meaning Yujeong was supposed to sit next to Na Jaemin and not freak out.
But at this point, Na Jaemin was the least of her problems.
"I'll be handing you the paper that states which animal you'll be taking care of." Mr. Kim said as he began to pass out the thin piece of paper to each pair of partners.
Soon, he reached Yujeong and Jaemin's table, handing them what looked like a form. Yujeong arched a brow, reading through the paper carefully while Jaemin just sat back, playing with the ring in the corner of his lower lip.
Yujeong watched him play with his lip ring habitually and said, "I'm honestly tempted to rip that out of your lip."
Jaemin laid his eyes on the tired brown eyes of Yujeong. "Since when did you talk?"
"Since I was a child. Now stop playing with that ring and look at the paper."
Jaemin obviously didn't want to listen to her, but still sat back up, lazily reading through the pet form. "A dog? We got a fucking dog?" He questioned after reading.
"Not just any dog, we got a Pharaoh Hound."
"What is that supposed to be?"
"I don't know, but it seems like a pretty big dog."
"Mm, don't care."
"Of course you don't. What did I expect..."
Yujeong took out a pen from her pencil case and signed her name at the bottom of the paper, passing it in front of Jaemin after she was done. "Sign it."
Jaemin raised a brow. "Why?"
"Because it says so." Yujeong said. "It's just a confirmation that we will be the ones who are responsible for the animal."
He sighed and held out his hand, gesturing for the pen, Yujeong hesitantly giving him her beloved pen and watched him as she watched him nonchalantly sign next to her signature.
"There, happy?" Jaemin said, tossing the pen on the table.
Yujeong rolled her eyes, taking back her pen and placing it back into the safety of her pencil case.
Mr. Kim cleared his throat, asking for everyone's attention. "Assuming you guys have finished reading through the form and when both partners have signed it, you will see an address listed on the right side. That is the location you will have to visit to retrieve your pet with your partner. The deadline to get your pet is exactly a week from now, so I suggest you get used to your pet before then."
