Before you read, just know that none of the characters in this story belong to me, they belong to the amazing writers Uncle Rick and J.K. Rowling. The story is mine...but ideas might be similar to others so I apologize in advance!
- Percy POV -
They were closing in on me. My arms sweated from the strain of carrying Annabeth and sprinting. They were going to kill my Wise Girl. Tartarus had finally gotten the best of us. A single tear slipped down my face. Not my Wise Girl.
My dream changed. I was standing alone in an abandoned alleyway. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up straight, and sure enough, someone was watching me. A tall cloaked figure hovered over the road. He radiated power. I stumbled back, and the lights flickered off. The shadows seemed to come alive, snatching me into the darkness. They pulled at me, trying to tear me apart, molecule by molecule. I felt my sanity slowly disintegrating, like a fog of memories spinning around me until I no longer knew who I was.
"Shh Percy. It was just a dream! It was just a dream." I woke up in the arms of my Wise girl for the second time that night. She soothed me in a way that nobody else could, and I had stopped trembling after a few minutes.
"I'm so lucky to have such an amazing girlfriend." I whispered, staring into her eyes. In the moonlight, they looked like liquid silver.
She smirked. "You drool when you sleep Seaweed Brain." She reached out and wiped a dribble of drool from my chin.
Still smirking, she pressed a long kiss on my lips, and lay back down next to me.
I grinned back. I turned over to go back to sleep, and wrapped my arms around my girlfriend. Yep. Definitely the luckiest guy on the planet.
--- early the next day ---
I was shocked awake. I mean that quite literally. My eyes snapped open to see a triumphant Thalia standing over me. I groaned.
"What the Hades Thalia! It's like 5:00!"
"Chiron wants us all in the big house ASAP!" I groaned again. What could be so important that I had to wake up at this ungodly hour?!
She laughed at my sleepy self, and cheekily pulled my blanket off and dashed out of my room. Now you simply can NOT take my blanket without getting punished.
"YOU ARE SO ON PINE CONE FACE!!" I stormed out of my room after the sorry excuse for a hunter.
I chased her to the big house, which is where she seemed to be headed.
Chiron stood in front of a group of demigods, and seemed to be giving them a speech. I spotted Thalia cowering behind a group of campers. "Oh wonderful Percy. Now that we are all here-" Chiron began.
I am proud to say that I interrupted his speech and started shouting at Thalia. "PINE CONE FACE HOW DARE YOU!!!! SWEAR ON THE RIVER STYX THAT YOU WILL NEVER AGAIN-"
I was silenced by a warning glare from Annabeth. Dam that girl can be scary when she wants to be. I was suddenly filled with the desire to go hide behind the other campers with Thalia.
Chiron sighed in the tense silence. "As I was saying, now that we all are here, i'd like to introduce you to our visitor."
A figure rippled into existence. She was wearing a dark, sleeveless gown, and had lustrous dark gold hair. She twirled a long staff between her fingers, carved with enchanting symbols.
Hazel immediately gasped. "L-lady Hecate?"
The woman smiled serenely at Hazel. "Yes my dear, It is me, Hecate the Goddess of Magic. I understand that you all are enjoying your well earned rest from the war, but I have a favor to ask of you."
I snorted. Why call it a favor when what you really mean is an order?
"A long time ago, four children of mine created a school for wizards and witches called Hogwarts." She gave us a summary of the school, and explained the four houses.
"I need you demigods to go undercover as wizards, and help prevent dark magic from taking over the wizarding world."
"Huh? Didn't you just say that Moldyshorts or whatever is gone?" Thalia asked.
Hecate grinned a little. "Voldemort you mean. Why yes, he is gone for good, but there is something even darker, something plain evil in the castle."
Thalia rolled her eyes. "And let me guess. You need us to go on a life threatening quest to get rid of the bad guys, while you relax on a throne. Not happening."
Hecate ignored her, her eyes glittering.
Thalia had a point. I wasn't planning on fighting another battle, especially if it could mean losing my Wise Girl again.
"A choice needs to be made, or more than the wizarding world will be at stake."
I really hate goddesses and choices. The choices were always die, die, die, or help them. I glowered at the magic goddess. She was the one who was going to die if she tried to separate me and Annabeth.
It wasn't just me who looked unhappy about this new news. Annabeth was having another silent conversation with Chiron, Jason sparked with electricity, A grumpy Frank accidentally turned into a grumpy elephant, and all of the precious metals within a mile of Camp Half Blood popped up to the surface around Hazel.
It was the head councilor for the Apollo cabin that finally spoke up. I recognized him as Will Solace.
"So who exactly is going on this quest? He asked distrustfully, placing a protective hand on Nico's shoulder.
Hecate shrugged. "The seven plus Thalia and Nico should be sufficient."
Will scowled. "I'm coming too. I'm his boyfriend for Styx's sake!"
To prove his point, Will smashed his lips onto Nico's for a good 5 seconds, causing Nico to blush hard and mutter something in Italian. Leo wolf-whistled from the back, earning himself a murderous glare from the lovebirds.
Hecate averted her eyes and sighed. "The more the merrier I guess. Anyways you all will be leaving this afternoon, good luck!"
And with that, she dissolved into mist and left behind 10 Hogwarts letters. Well this will be an interesting quest...
Peace out! :)
