Later that night, Chanhee looked up at the stars. He was back in his apartment, the familiar smell of mint and flowers was lingered and he smiled bitterly.
The blonde gazed up at the sky, Sangyeon's words echoing in his mind, "Somethings about a devil..." he mused, tracing constellations with his fingers. He fumbled with the lock on the balcony door and stepped out into the cold air, blankly looking up at the blanket of night that covered the earth.
"The color is fading..." he mumbled, the world seemed more dull now. No more excitement, no more fun and happiness, nothing. "I wish you could come back to me."
He let his hand fall back and shook his head, "Devils don't exists for fucks sake."
Chanhee shook his head, he had to face reality sooner or later. There was no point in trying to deceive himself. He snuggled further into his hoodie, feeling a chill up his spine.
"Devils don't exist?" a voice asked from behind him.
The blondes eyes widened. Slowly he turned around, and came face to face with...wings.
Ebony colored wings spanning a good two—maybe three meters, "What the fuck."
He was mesmerized by the silk wings and watched them unfurl to reveal a person. The person was a few centimeters taller than he was, their piercing cat-like eyes were staring at him with burning intensity. The figure's pale porcelain skin was flawless, their lips curled up into an amused smile.
"You still think that's true?"
Chanhee was frozen, unable to comprehend what was going on. Who was this creature and what was he doing in his home? "What the fuck are you?"
The stranger lazily walked from the doorway and invited himself onto the balcony, "A devil, as you humans call us."
Chanhee walked towards the stranger, his sorrows forgotten for a moment. With a sudden burst of courage, he cornered the winged creature to the edge of the balcony and grabbed their collar.
"Hyunjae, my lover. What happened to him?" the blonde spat.
The stranger's eyes widened, "Woah there, calm down. That's why I'm here. My name is Juyeon, by the way."
Juyeon easily pried the human's hands off him, and circled them around, so Chanhee was now trapped. He gave a little smirk at the blonde's shocked expression before turning around and heading inside the apartment. The ravenette plopped down on one of the couches, neatly folding his wings.
Chanhee got over his shock and followed him inside, cautiously. He closed the balcony door and turned to see Juyeon sitting on his couch, facing him, "He's doing just fine. Wallowing in pity, watches you everyday."
The tears welled up in the blonde's eyes yet again, "Don't mess with me..." Chanhee shot the other a murderous glare, wiping his eyes.
Juyeon shrugged, "I'm just saying."
The smaller glared up at the devil, rage flowing through his veins.
The ravenette's eyes darkened, "It'd be a shame if I never offered a deal now, though, wouldn't it?"
Chanhee pursed his lips and kept quiet. He proceeded to choose his words carefully, "What deal?"
Juyeon's dark eyes flashed with a unreadable emotion, "I heard you went to Doctor Lee Sangyeon. He won't be able to tell you shit about how Hyunjae died."
Chanhee felt the air get knocked out of his chest again as he heard his lover's name roll off the devil's tongue.
The ravenette leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, "Hyunjae didn't die from a car accident, if you didn't already know that. He died because a devil went on a rampage."
"One of your kind?" Chanhee choked over his words while the other smirked.
"My brother."
The smaller tried to steady his breathing, there was no use in getting mad at Juyeon since it wasn't him. But Chanhee sure as hell was mad at this brother.
"That son of a bitch took my lover, my fucking ball of sunshine away from me!?" He hissed, and looked up at the devil in the room. "So what brings your filthy ass into my apartment?"
Chanhee wasn't playing games and he was sick of the other already. He was talking about his other half and the other was over treating it like it was only a dead goldfish.
Juyeon seemed taken aback by the hostility radiating off the blonde, "Like I said, I've an offer."
Chanhee arched an eyebrow, his arms crossed defensively in front of him, "Spill or get the fuck out of my apartment."
The ravenette clicked his tongue in disappointment, "That's not how you should talk to me." Chanhee rolled his eyes.
"I could bring Hyunjae back you know?" Juyeon said softly, resting his chin on his palm and gazing up at the human.
The blonde let out a small gasp, doing his best to cover the small noise. The soft look on the devil's face soon turned into a predatory one, sending chills down his back.
"But in the real world," Juyeon stood up and slowly walked towards the other. Hooking a cold finger under the human's chin he tilted the younger's face upwards, staring at him dead in the eyes. "Nothing comes without price."
He breathed those words, so close to the blonde that Chanhee could feel the ravenette's cold breath on his forehead. Juyeon let his chin go and walked about, turning around once he was a decent distance away from the blonde. "Are you interested? I don't have all day, little human."
Chanhee's eyes fluttered and he snapped back into the real world, "What's the price?"
Juyeon's lips curled up into a smile.
