"ouch" you said slowly waking up in the lab with Nat sat next to you.

"I'm guessing that wasn't supposed to happen," Nat said laughing a little.

"Maybe I got a little cocky" you said nearly bursting out in laughter, I won fair and square, but I bet I looked like an idiot in front of everyone you thought. "Who knows about what just happened?" you asked.

"Just everyone." she said smirking as Bruce entered the room and she left. You sighed and bowed your head.

"How are you feeling y/n?" he asked as he checked your vitals,

"I'm great, I just hit my head." you stand up and go to walk out the room.

"Y/n! wait! you've got concussion, you need to stay overnight!" Bruce said loudly.

"But I'll literally be thirty seconds away." 

"I've got all of my medical stuff in here!"

"Alright, alright, I'll stay." You paused a second, "Only if I can have McDonalds" You said smirking. Bruce looked at you and rolled his eyes. 

"Okay y/n, I'll get one of the others to grab you something. What do you want?" 

"burger and fries please." 

"Okay, I'm gonna let you get some rest or do whatever, just stay in here." Bruce left the room leaving you by yourself surrounded by all of his medical equipment. You look around for ten minutes then open a drawer curios to see what's inside. As you open it you see all of the avengers medical files, one catches your eye as its significantly larger then all the others. 'James Buchanan Barnes' it was labelled. Your fingers reach out to take it, your intrigued and wonder what's written inside. You touch it with the tips of your fingers then you hear a knock on the door to the lab, making you jump. You quickly closed the cabinet and perched on the edge of the bed.

"I got your food," Bucky said opening the door, he peered round the corner and looked confused.

"Hey Bucky" you said.

"I didn't know it was you in here, Bruce didn't tell me who it was, just to get McDonalds. Are you alright?"

"I'm good, I just hit my head, Bruce is overreacting." You flashed a smile at him and he walked over to you.  He placed the food on the bed then sat next to you. "Thank you Bucky"

"It's alright doll, how did you manage this anyway?" he laughed a little as he finished his sentence. 

"It doesn't really matter," you replied. He raised his eyebrows at you, signalling for you to say. "It's embarrassing," he gave you a look that said 'I don't really care' "Alright, I was sparring with Nat, I won, turned around and walked straight into a stone pillar" he burst out laughing but you gave him the death stare.

"Sorry, I shouldn't of laughed." Bucky said trying to contain his amusement. You slowly started to smile and laughed realising how stupid the whole situation was. He started laughing again and you both ended up in a fit of laughter. After you both calmed down Bucky spoke up, "I'm gonna go, I'll leave you to eat" He stood up and started walking towards the door.

"Would you stay? It's boring in here." He came back to you and sat beside you. 

"Sure," You opened your burger and split it in half offering him one half as you bit into the other. "Thanks" he said smiling. You and him shared your meal then he left as Bruce came back in to check on you. 

"How you doing y/n?" he asked. 

"I'm good Bruce, can I please just go to my room" He checked over your vitals once more before sighing.

"That wasn't part of the deal, but everything seems fine, so you can go." You smiled at him. Being in a hospital room reminded you of your father, the serum and all the pain it brought. 

"Thanks" You said quickly leaving the room before he could change his mind. You headed up to your room, put on some pyjamas and flopped straight onto your bed. It took you seconds to fall asleep and as you closed your eyes a dream of going shopping with Wanda and Nat filled your head.
