Part 4- Singing

I look back at ray and he looks at me again. He scoots close to me, wraps his hands around my back, and without hesitation he presses his lips against mine.

He breaks away and smiles softly. He lets go of me and looks up. "You don't know how long I have wanted to do that."

"maybe you s-should tell me"

"sin-"

"hes been waiting since 6th grade!"

We look into the street and see 2 familiar faces just barely lit up from the street lights.

Emma and Norman.

"ray, you should've told us" Norman says.

"yeah!"

"you guys!" I cover my blushing face.

"oi, go away" ray yells at them

"c'mon emma " Norman says as he drags her away.

I look back at ray and smile. He kisses me again, and then whispers in my ear, "ill be at your house at 11:30 tomorrow. You coming?"

He leans away and waits for me to answer. "Yeah, yeah, I need to get home."

I jump through his window and we walk through his house, saying goodbye to his mom. He kisses my forehead just before we come onto my house.

"bye ray, see you tomorrow"

"bye" he shoves his hands in his pockets and walks away.

I run to my room and fall onto my bed.

Was I really just kissed by Ray? Are we dating? I think we are but... Do I tell my parents? I'm not out yet.

I cover my face with my hands, my finger spread apart. What do I do?

Ray POV

I walk into my house and mom stops me before I go upstairs.

"you seem happy"

"Uhh yeah"

"is it y/n?"

I keep a straight face.

"ooh, it is isn't it? You can tell me"

"Fine. Yes mom it is."

"Did you kiss?"

"that's none of your business mom"

I start walking up the stairs. "Oh my baby is growing up"

I roll my eyes and close my door.

I actually did it. I mustered up enough confidence to tell them AND kiss them. Was it the right choice? Well they did agree to our date, so...

"I kissed a boy and I liked it, the taste of his cherry Chapstick" I mindlessly sing. Do their parents know? Ugh, ill deal with that later. I wonder if they are still up.

My phone buzzes and I pull it out of my pocket. I look at the new notification and open it.
