Your Touch (L x Light)

~Kiss~

      It was still noon and Light and L we're on still on the swings side by side, eating their ice cream. They sat in silence for a while until L looked over to Light. Lights had stopped eating his ice cream and it started dripping onto his shirt. He was staring into the sky, deep in thought. 'I wonder what's he's think about' L thought.

     Light was deep in thought,thinking about his true feelings towards ryuzaki. "Do I really think of him in that way? or do I just admire him as a close friend" he thought. Then there was the question of his sexuality. 'Wouldn't that make me gay?' he thought to himself.

     Light was so surrounded in his various thoughts, that he didn't notice L calling his name. "Light-kun" L called for the 3rd time but there was no response. L was getting a bit impatient. Light was still deep in thought and his ice cream dripped even more from his shirt onto his pants. Light also had a little ice cream on his cheek.

     L leaned over towards Light and licked the ice cream off the side of his lips. Light immediately dismissed his thoughts and was startled a bit at the sudden action. "Hey?! Whaa-" he said turning towards Ryuzaki with his face painted red. "L leaned back into his swing "you had ice cream on your cheek" L said calmly. Light only looked at him with his cheeks still flustered. "Also your ice cream is melting onto your clothes" he said. "Huhh-" Light looked down onto his shirt and pants and it was covered in ice cream.

     He looked over towards the hand with the cone in it. All the ice cream had melted and dripped down his arm, making it sticky. "Oh geez I made such a mess, I can't go back like this " he said embarrassed. "Let's go to the restroom near by" L suggested. Light nodded and they threw away their cones before leaving.

     Light washed off his hand and wiped down his shirt while L waited, back against the wall by the sink. By the time light finished it was pretty late and when the two stepped outside the sky was dark orange mixed with purple as the sun set.

    "Ugh it's already so late, we should be heading back now" Light said a bit disappointed. L nodded and the two started walking towards the way of HQ, but before they could leave the park Light spotted a tennis court only a few feet from. "Look ryuzaki it's a tennis court, we should totally finish settling our tie from the first game" light said with a big smile. "But it's getting late and we shouldn't walk in the dark." L replied. "Ohh come on Ryuzaki, jut one game!" Light pleaded. L sighed "Fine but just one game, I'll definitely win though." L said with a playful smirk. "So you think" L said giving back the same smirk.

     When the two reached the court, L temporarily unlocked the chains so they could play. The two played for 10 mins straight and both managed to strike each other's throw and at this rate they were gonna be there all night to get a winner. "Ryuzaki I think we should end this as a tie, it's getting g really late and we can't play forever" light said gasping and wiping sweat off his forehead. "Your right, let's continue this next time" L replied dropping the  ball he was gonna throw. He locked back on the  chains on each other's hand before they left the court.

     As the two were waking back to HQ they were talking about all types of things. Like about each other's first impression, how they were gonna beat each other in the next game and even how annoying Misa was. They were giggling and laughing about all sorts of things, and for the first time ever they weren't talking about the nerve racking case. Instead they got to talk as normal friends would, which made them bond closer than ever.

    The two walked until HQ was now in their sight. "Ahh we're finally here" Light said relieved because it just became pitch dark outside. "Let's go In" light said smiling. L nodded and followed light into the building. When they got there everyone was gone. They must have left for the day, meaning L and Light were pretty late. "Looks like nobody's here" Light said rubbing the back of his head. "They've probably already left for the day, it is pretty late" L said. "Yea and I'm tired, we should probably get some rest then" Light said yawning. "Okay" L replied. They both headed up to their floor and into their shared room.

      They two took turns taking showers before getting in to bed. They both got into bed and under the covers. They fixed the the chains so that it was more comfortable to sleep with. They laid down backs facing away from each other. After a moment, Light turned towards L. "Hey Ryuzaki" he said. "What is it Light" he replied without turning towards him. "Uhh nothing, I just really had fun today" he said blushing a bit. "Me too, now go to sleep so you can work proficiently tomorrow" L replied. "Ahh-h yes" Light stuttered.

     Light couldn't fall asleep though. He stared at Ryuzaki's nape and his slender back. It was extremely attractive to him. He thought about all the cool things that happened earlier as he smiled slightly to himself. It was then that he realized he was in love with Ryuzaki and not as a friend, but as a lover.

     There was a silence before Light spoke again. "Umm Ryuzaki" he said. "What is it now Light?" L replied. "Umm can I do something" Light said. "And what would that be?" L responded. "Just turn over here"Light demanded.  After a moment, L turned over towards Light and their faces were now only a few feet away.

     Without thinking, Light put his hand on L's neck, pulling him into a soft kiss. L's face was burning red, as this was his first kiss ever. Light saw that L wasn't pulling away or denying it so he took it farther.Light slid his cold hand under L's shirt making him gasp, giving light enough space to slip his tongue into his mouth. L didn't pull away and instead melted into the kiss.

     They finally pulled away for air, leaving a string of saliva connecting their mouths. Light was looking for a reaction in L as they both stared at each other, faces flustered, still gasping for air. L was only surprised, he looked down trying to hide his blush, at a loss for words.

       Light was at a loss for words. "Umm goodnight Ryuzaki" he quickly said turning away and throwing the covers over his head in embarrassment. L was still catching his breath and processing what just happened. "Goodnight Light" he finally said with his face as red as a rose. Then he turned away and blushed thinking about what just happened, before drifting off too sleep. Meanwhile, Light was so embarrassed that he had made such a bold move. He stayed up thinking about it, later than Ryuzaki, blushing to himself. "I'm such an idiot" he thought while rubbing his head with both hands. "I wonder what he'll think of me now" he thought before drifting off to sleep.
