Your Touch (L x Light)

~Confession~

A week passed since that night. Ever since that kiss, L tried to avoid any interaction with Light. When Light asked him questions about the case he would reply with the shortest answers. When Light would try to talk about the kiss, L would cut him off and tell him he should be working. Light was getting impatient.

It was another morning of getting ready to work on the Kira case. L was the first to wake up and was sitting up beside Light on his laptop, but he wasn't actually working. He was thinking about the night Light kissed him. 'Why would he do that?, does he actually like me? But what if he's Kira and he only did that to confuse me? L kept on asking himself while lightly biting on his thumb. 'Maybe he noticed my feelings and is trying to take advantage of that, or maybe he's actually innocent and likes me.' He thought, but one things was for sure, Light was the number one suspect for Kira and L was determined to not let his feelings get in the way of his judgment. Right?

L brushed those thoughts away, seeing that is time to get ready and join the rest of the task force. He tapped Lights shoulder in a attempt to wake him up. No response. He tapped and shook him. "Light wake up up". Still no response. L was getting impatient. He kicked Light off his side of the bed. "Oww, what the hell." Light yelled opening his eyes. He had landed on his side and hurt his left arm But L totally forgot they were chained together and L went flying towards Light, almost crushing him. "Wha- Ahhhh! What the hell Ryuzaki!?" Light exclaimed turning over on his back trying to get up. He closed his eyes and rubbed the side of his head but when he opened them he saw L sitting on top of him. Both of L hands we're on top of alight chest and his legs were spread on each side of Light with his bottom against Lights crotch.

"Ehhhh- Ryuzaki what are you doing " he said blushing extremely hard while covering his face with his forearm. "Oh good morning Light, it time to get ready for work, so I woke you up" L said in his usual monotone voice. "Yes but what are you doing on me?!" Light said blushing really hard. "Ohh.... I fell" he said while getting off of light. "Let's get ready for work" L said walking towards the bathroom, yanking Light with the chain. "Ya I'm coming"Light side rubbing his arm and getting up. He followed L towards the bathroom, still a blushing mess.

Light was the first to shower as usual, while L sat on the toilet seat. "What was that reaction just now." Light thought, remembering Light blushing under him. 'Does he truly like me, or is this all he front' the thoughts kept crashing his head until he saw a hand waving in front of him. "Earth to Ryuzaki" Light said chuckling. L was snapped out of deep thought only to see Light naked with a towel hanging loosely around his waist and water dripping from his hair onto his lean built body.

Ryuzaki stared for a moment before turning away hiding his faint blush. "Uhh Ryuzaki I'm done! Hurry and shower so we're not late" Light said fake pouting. "Ohh right" L said while undress and showering himself. Light chuckled and made his way towards the sink. As he was brushing his teeth he snuck glances towards L and his body through the transparent curtains. He looked at L washing his hair then slowly looked down. 'Ughh, what am I, a pervert' he mumbled under his breath looking away and blushing. He continued to brush his teeth as L finished showering and dressed up, and joined him at the sink.

L snapped back on the handcuffs before the two walked out their shared room. Then made their way towards the elevator heading down to the research room in silence. Light decided to break that silence. "Hey L, what were you thinking about so deep in thought earlier" he said chuckling to himself. "Nothing in particular, just the case" L lied. Of course he couldn't admit his was thinking about Light and his feelings for him. "Hmm is that really all?" Light asked leaning towards L. L only nodded. Light sighed knowing that easing the truth but Light had secrets of his own too. His was planning to confess to Ryuzaki today. He was getting to impatient and thought it would be better for L to knows his feelings. If he wanted to go any further with him.

"Hey Ryuzaki, are you free tonight?, I want to talk to you in private later on the roof" Light asked. "Hmm, I suppose I can make some time, but what is it about?"L asked. "You'll find out later" Light said smiling warmly at L. Just then the elevator door opened and the two walked out towards the investigation room. The two sat down in their seat L's while Watari brought out a cart of sweets for L and some sandwiches and water for Light. They both thanked Watari and got to work. 'What was I thinking asking that, now I'll really have to confess' Light thought signing before getting to work.

~Timeskip~

Hours passed and it was now nighttime. It was currently cold and raining outside and occasional thunder. The rest of the task force had already left home while Light and L worked on the case. "Hey Ryuzaki, I'm tired now, let's continue working tomorrow" Light said slouching on the the desk, fake pouting. "I suppose it's pretty late, let's continue tomorrow then" L replied getting up and practically dragging, sleepy Light with him.

"Hey L, do you still want to talk with me on the rooftop for a moment" Light asked. "It's raining out though, we'll get sick." L replied. " don't worry, it'll only take a moment" Light assured him. L nodded and the two got into the elevator, heading up towards towards the rooftop. When the arrived rain fell down onto the rooftop making heavy taps. The sky was a dark blue, but the city light were so bright and lit up the sky. The lights in the building were pink, purple, blue, green and all types of colors. "So pretty" Light said smiling warmly to himself.

The two walked closer to the edge and staring down at the beautifully lit city. It was a silence for a moment while the two were looking forward as the rain fell onto them. "Hey Ryuzaki" Light said turning towards L. "Hmm" L replied still looking at the city.

"I Like You"

Light said blushing towards L. L's eyes widened at this and he turned towards Light. Light looked serious about what he just said as he looked down at L. L stared at Light and looked down towards his feet while blushing. L knew Light was expecting an answer but it was hard for L to give him one. He feelings were so mixed and he didn't want his feelings for Light to cloud his judgment on the Kira case. He simply couldn't let it happen..... but L couldn't help it. L was falling in love with light and he knew it. There was no point in holding back his feelings any further. L looked up at anxious Light.

"I like you too"

He replied seriously while blushing a bit. Light was so happy, tears started falling out down his cheeks. He didn't know what that else to say. He rubbed his eyes and covered his face with its both hands to hide his blush. L smiled and pulled away Light hands. Light face was red and his eyes a bit swollen. "You don't have to hide, it's okay" L said as he chuckled at how cute and vulnerable Light looked. Lights eyes were still teary as his hands were shaking a bit. "Umm- can I k-kiss you" Light whispered. L nodded and smiled. Light was hesitant at first before he softly placed his lips against L's. L kissed back for and they continued like until L noticed Light shivering. "Light I think it's time we head back inside, we'll get sick" L said smiling. Light nodded with his face flushed red and his eyes still a little teary. He pouted and was upset they had to leave because he wanted to stay like that for a bit longer.
