A long 7 hours had passed and we had finally reached our destination. I was the last out of the car. My mother stood beside the car, waiting for me. As I approached her she wrapped her arm around my shoulders. "This is going to be our new beginning", she spoke quietly, rubbing her hand on my arm. We looked up to the new house. Its white walls raised high in the air, a porch wrapped around the front.

[b/n] looked back to me and our mother before running into the house yelling, "I GET THE BIGGEST ROOM". "OH NO YOU DON'T DIRT BALL", My dad yelled chasing him inside. My mom just sighed, rubbing her forehead, turning to look me dead in the eyes. "You get the attic", she huffed out before walking in. I had nothing else to do so I followed her. The house had 2 technically 3 floors, with the attic being my room. The first floor had the living room, kitchen, dining room, and other essential things. The second floor had my parent's room and my brother's room as well as the bathroom. And the third was just the attic or my room which I was currently walking to.

I made my way up the wooden steps climbing up the wall to my singular room. The stairs were in the middle of the room, separating it into two sides. The walls were a pale white and there were two sets of windows. One was right above the bed that the movers had brought in the previous day. It was a thick pane of glass that was higher above than you would think. The other was across from the bed on the other side of the stairs. It was a large square that folded open from either of the sides with a lock. My desk had already been brought up and was put to the right of the window. A dresser sat opposite of it, empty. The room honestly looked really sad at the moment. We had some boxes out in the truck with mine and my brother's things that I decided would be perfect to get now.

I raced down both sets of stairs, launching myself off the desk to the truck. I grabbed two boxes, stacking them on top of each other. I began a careful and slow journey up to my room. [b/n] ran past me once, getting chased by my dad. I yelled at them since they almost knocked me and my stuff over. Making it back up to my room I made two other trips, getting the rest of my things.

I grabbed a knife, slicing open the first box to reveal clothes. I carried the box over to my dresser, packing the clothes away in the drawers. The next box was heavier. Slicing it open revealed my gaming setup. I sat that box on my desk, deciding to unpack that tomorrow. 3rd was the box with my record player and records.

4th was my decorations, such as vines, new LEDs, and painted records/CDs. The final box was full of memories. Most of it consisted of letters and photographs, polaroid, prints, new, old, yellow, etc. I decided to truly unpack and set up everything tomorrow since today was a long day spent in the car. I didn't bother changing or eating dinner as I passed out on my new bed.

[the next day]

I awoke to bright sunlight shining in my eyes. I grabbed my phone out of my hoodie pocket and looked at the time. 6:55, I groaned, realizing how much work I had to do today. I stood, walking over to the stairs, almost tripping as I made my way to the kitchen. Nobody was awake, as expected. Today was Sunday after all. I poured out a bowl of cereal, deciding to scroll through Instagram while I ate my froot loops. I carried the full bowl over to the bar and slowly ate while scrolling through art of my favorite show. I have been obsessed with it since I was 13, me now being 16 it's crazy I still love it.

The time was 7:30 when I decided to get up. My dad had just come downstairs and decided to cook and I wasn't prepared to get splashed with water so I bid him goodbye and headed back to my room. I closed the small hatch on my stairs and put my phone on full volume, blasting music.

I walked over to my box o' decorations and pulled out the new LED strips. I stood on my tiptoes as I lined them around the triangle ceiling of my room. I plugged them in the place behind my bed and tested them before shutting them off. I hung some vines around and put my alarm clock on my bedside, plugging my phone in beside it.
