There is some content in this chapter that might be sensitive to some. It is in there for the plot. I will put a TW at the part, stay safe.

[Y/N POV]

Today was Friday and the project was due. Cassandra hadn't talked to me since the incident on Friday and needless to say, I didn't do her part of the project. If she didn't want to work with me then so be it. She can do her own work, I'm not her slave.

Currently, I was getting dressed for another day at school, mom was driving me today. I pulled out a black shirt with a mustard bottle printed on it, tucking it into my dark ripped jeans. I looked at the time on my phone before running downstairs, holding my backpack with all my stuff in it. My hair was (hairstyle you like) again and my mask was tied around my face.

The drive to school was fast and the day passed quickly. I spent lunch with the main group. I can tell that they hate Cassandra but from what I've seen it's all just petty fights. I walked into the class that I shared with Cassandra, the only class I had with her. She wasn't there yet but I walked to the back of the room and sat in my seat, scrolling through fanart on my phone till class started.

Once the class began, Cassandra was late again. When she finally did show the teacher asked if we could present first. She immediately looked at me, a glare in her oblivious eyes. "Sorry sir but we weren't able to finish the project in time, Cassandra didn't back up on her part", I glanced at her before looking back at the teacher. In that second long look, I could see the pure anger in her soul, a hint of surprise mixed in. She clearly didn't think I had the guts to stand up to her the way I did. He sighed, "Well I'll give you two and an extension for another week but I will be contacting your parents". At this, I began to sweat. The last time a teacher talked to my parents it didn't end well for me. I just planted my head on my desk and laid there until the end of class, feeling the glare of Cassandra burning holes in my spine.

(TW. Self Harm. I'll put another where it resumes to normal)

Class finished, now to head home. "AGh", I shouted out as someone slammed me into the lockers. I opened my squinted eyes to see Cassandra, her hand wrapped around my wrists, sharp nails against the scars I had once created. "Why didn't you-"," GET OFF ME", I shouted over her growling. Her hold lightened at my yelling and I yanked my wrists from her grasp. I gave her a quick glare from my shorter stance and walked away, fists clenched into tight balls.

(Here's the end, there is another bit, it isn't that bad though)

I shoved through the large crowd of people at the entrance, making my way outside. Tears formed in my eyes, blurring my vision as I fixed my sleeves. I heard loud footsteps behind me and then yelling. "(Y/N) LOOK AT ME", GF grabbed my arm and turned me around. "Sweetheart what's wrong?", she asked, wiping a tear off of my cheek. "Nothing, I just tripped and embarrassed myself", I chuckled, I decided to tell her wasn't the best course of action. "There's no reason to fear, if anyone fights with you just come get me and I'll be their ass", she spoke in a low voice, causing us both to start laughing. "Well I was gonna head back to the park with BF, wanna come?", she asked, stepping back and fixing the strap of her backpack. "I'm good, you go have fun", I smiled, then we both turned our separate ways.

(TW again..)

I walked into the house and dropped my bag, running up the stairs. I darted into the bathroom, locking the door behind me. I pressed my hands on either side of the sink. I looked up at the mirror. My hair was frizzy and my eyes had small bags underneath. A bead of sweat dripped down my forehead and my eyes looked slightly faded. Nobody had seen my scars since Emma. She did the same thing as Cassandra, except at the time they were fresh and Emma was scared for me. We didn't talk for a while after that but eventually, we made up and she guided me through recovery. It's been 2 years since then and I've been doing way better. It's just that... Cassandra scared me... she gave me flashbacks and I didn't want to be hurt again.

(It's over already babe :))

"Ugh I'm not gonna get any better with this attitude.", I took out my hair from the tight bun in which it was held, shaking my head to the sides to free my head of the feeling of dread. I turned on the water, splashing my face with the cool liquid, getting the hair framing my face tainted with wetness. I opened the door to the small room, shutting off the lights, and walking up the 'floating' steps to my room. I pulled out a new outfit from my drawers. I threw on a black tank top with a dark jacket over the comfortable material. I then rolled up my jeans a little and replaced my sneakers with doc martens. I grabbed my dusty motorcycle helmet from the hidden box in the corner. It was a sleek raven black, angel wing decals sat where my normal ears would be. My dad bought this for me when I got my license for motorcycle riding. I smiled to myself as I slid it over my noggin.

I ran downstairs, rummaging through my backpack for my wallet. I'd need it if anyone pulled me over. I then grabbed the keys to my dad's motorcycle off of the rack. "Where do you think you're going young lady", I heard my mom's voice perk up from behind me. I whipped my head around. "I hope you were gonna tell me before you head out. I saw you were distressed earlier. Just. be safe", she sighed, pulling me into a tight hug. I hugged back and ran off to get the bike out of the garage. I turned on the powerful machine and climbed on. Opening the garage door I sped off and rode down the street. Cars whizzed past as I edged around corners, the wind messing up my bright (h/c) hair. I carefully navigated the streets to the point where I ended up near the school.

[Cassandra POV]

I sat at the skatepark, like usual. I liked sitting here. It was a nice distance from home and I can mess with Pico and his friends while I'm here. Currently they were doing their stupid Friday routine of rap battling. I could feel a headache start to grow and I slumped over, resting my hand on my knee.

I shook my head as I heard the rumbling engine of a motorcycle approach. I lifted my head a slight bit and watched as they pulled up to a stop at the empty intersection. They sat at that stop sign for a while. It looked like a girl, her hair frazzled barely poking out from the helmet. They looked over to me, leaning over on their foot. "Hey Cassandra, wanna come for a ride?", their voice called out, very clearly feminine. She sounded familiar. I just couldn't place my finger on it. I just pointed to myself and she nodded. "What's the worst that could happen", I whispered to myself. Furrowing my eyebrows, I flung my black backpack over my shoulder.

I stood and ran over to the person, their face was completely shielded by the helmet but her (h/c) hair was slightly more noticeable now. "Put your backpack in the saddlebag and hop on", she spoke in a kind tone. "Don't tell me what to do", I huffed, shoving my bag into the large leather pouch. She giggled as I flung my leg over the side of the vehicle. I wobbled from side to side, threatening to fall off. "You can hold on to me ya know, I don't bite", she giggled again, her voice sweet and full of so much emotion you couldn't pinpoint exactly how she was feeling.

"I'm fine. Thank you very much", I crossed my arms and leaned back into the seat. "Suit yourself", she mumbled, starting up the motorcycle again. I yipped as she put up her leg and began to move. The action scared me so I got even more off balance and wrapped my arms around her stomach. I pressed my chest against her back and held on as if the world was collapsing. She gave out a flustered chuckle and began to move, heading straight. I glanced over to the park where the idiots were. Pico stood there, completely dumbfounded. Same with the others except Pico showed it the most. GF just had a small smile on her face, she almost looked... proud. I just huffed and turned away, looking at the houses as we passed.

The houses faded from highways, highways to trees. Currently, we sat in comfortable silence as the bike steadily climbed a hill. The trees shadowing the dark road and covering the barely sunlit sky. The faint smell of honeydew floated in with the wind.

Once we reached the top the driver kicked up the stand in a parking spot. She climbed off and held out a hand to help me down, which I smacked away and hopped down myself. I followed her over to the outlook, where she stood for a minute overlooking the ocean. "Ok this is getting annoying", she then popped off her helmet and threw it behind her. I watched as it rolled to a stop before turning back to her. Her hair reached (h/l) and her eyes were a soft shade of (e/c). Her skin looked soft and the bridge of her nose was dotted with freckles (Forget this bit if you don't have them). I could feel my cheeks heat a little before I turned back to the ocean. You could basically smell the salt from the sea. I've always loved that about this terrible town. The only good thing about it was the ocean, but I have a feeling that this girl is gonna be my new ocean.
