-3 months later-
Miranda and Ben had been dating for 3 months now and evening was going great. Miranda was know an attending at the hospital and believe it or not Danielle and Justin actually started dating.
"Babe we have to go." Miranda said as Ben was kissing her neck.
"Just five more minutes." Ben said in between kisses.
Miranda was sitting on Ben's lap and she rubbed the back of his head with her fingers, he kissed the top of her forehead all the way down to her breast.
"Ben quit teasing me like that."
"You like it though so why should I stop." Ben said in his sexy voice.
"Wait actually stop because I feel like I'm going to be sick." Miranda rushed off of Ben's lap and ran to the bathroom.
"Miranda what the hell, are you okay." Ben followed her and held her hair back.
"I don't think so."
"Do you want me to call Danielle and tell her that we won't be able to be at her house warming party."
"No no, I'm fine I was just—." Miranda was cutoff by her throwing up again.
"Okay I'm calling your sister."
"Don't, I'm fine, it's probably just something I ate."
"Fine but we probably need to leave here within the next 10 minutes." Ben checked his watch.
"Okay that's fine I just need to change my clothes and brush my teeth." Miranda got off her knees and started brushing her teeth.
She changed and they were on their way to Danielle's house to have her house warming party.
"What gift did you get her." Ben asked as he pulled into Danielle's driveway.
"I got her this cute candle warmer and a welcome mat to put where her front door is." Miranda said turning up the air conditioning in the car.
"That's nice uhm, Justin's going to be here right."
"Yes honey, and my father."
"Do what."
"Yeah my dad is going to be here and so I'd my mom." Miranda said as the walked to the front door.
Ben and Miranda walked in the door and were greeted by Justin and Danielle.
"Hey you guys." Danielle took Miranda's gift and sat it on the counter.
"Wassup man, did you know their dad is going to be here." Ben and Justin did their hand ship that they had created a while back.
"No, when is he going to be here." Justin asked.
The sisters parents walked in and the three sisters all gave them a hug.
"Hey momma, daddy, I have someone I would like you to meet." Miranda drug her parents towards Ben and Justin.
"Yeah me too." Danielle followed.
"This is my boyfriend Ben." Miranda introduced.
"Hello sir, so nice to meet you and I've heard many wonderful things about you Mrs.Bailey." Ben gave Miranda's mother and father a quick handshake.
"And this is my boyfriend, Justin." Danielle smiled.
"Haven't I seen you before somewhere." Mr.Bailey asked.
"Maybe on tv sir, I do play for the Portland Trail Blazers."
"Well I'll be damned, you can call me William, now how about we go talk some basketball." their father and Justin walked to the living room.
"Well that was embarrassing." Ben told Miranda.
"You're fine, he's just fangirling right now because he is in the NBA." Miranda laughed and walked to the kitchen and left Ben behind.
"Hey Ben do you mind if we talk." Helen, Miranda's mother asked Ben.
"Of course."
"I'm sorry about my husbands actions, he is just probably wanting to get some free tickets to game but you seem like a really nice guy and the better pick."
"Well Justin is one of my best friends so it's cool I don't really mind."
"Wait I thought he was Danielle's boyfriend." Helen looked confused.
"Yeah he is but I sort of introduced him to her in an awkward way." Ben smiled.
"Oh so this is your fault."
"Excuse me."
"Out of all people that my daughter could have dated she chooses him, you're kidding me right."
"I'm sorry if I'm over stepping here but are you upset that Danielle is dating a white man." Ben got a little angry.
"Of course I am, he just isn't like us you know." Helen pointed back and forth between her and Ben.
"Mrs.Bailey that is my best friend you're talking about and I can assure that he is one of the kindest human beings on this earth and would never hurt a fly."
"Yeah I bet so." Helen walked away from Ben and went to the kitchen.
Ben was intrigued that Miranda's mother was upset that Danielle was dating a beige man that happened to be his best friend. He went in sat in the living room along with the other men and watched a college basketball game. Miranda walked in and checked on all of them.
"Are y'all all good." Miranda stood behind the recliner Ben was in.
"Miranda may I have a word with you." Ben grabbed Miranda's arm and lead her towards the hallway bathroom.
"Ben what's wrong."
"Your mother and I had a conversation a little while ago and she told me she was upset that Danielle was dating Justin."
"Why." Miranda asked.
"Because he is white and she said he doesn't fit in which really made me mad because wait til she meets Darius because he's a black gay man." Ben was letting loose.
"Calm down I'm sure she didn't mean it in that way." Miranda rubbed his arm.
"Oh Miranda she did so I've got to get out of here before I go off on someone." Ben left and walked down the sidewalk til he found a convenient store.
He went to the store and got a 12 pack of bud lights and paid for them in cash. He walked outside and sat on the curb thinking about what Miranda's mom said. Ben dismissed the 12 pack and went back into the store and bought another 12 pack. He walked back to Danielle's house staggering along the way, he walked in and found Miranda.
"God, you reek of beer, come on we're leaving before you make a fool of yourself." Miranda grabbed her purse but Ben was already speaking his mind.
"Guys I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Danielle and Justin, you guys might have to break up." Ben said slurring some words.
"Miranda Bailey, get control of your drunk boyfriend." Helen said trying to get Ben to shut up.
"No mama, what are you talking about Ben." Danielle got worried.
"Well the only reason I'm saying this is because Justin is my best friend and I've known him forever but I'm sorry to say it but Mrs.Bailey does not want you being Danielle's boyfriend because you are white and don't fit in with us and that is exactly what she said to me."
"Mandy, I think you need to leave." Miranda's father got up from his chair.
"Stop it daddy, Ben, mama is this true." Daniele let a tear stream down her face.
"Maybe." Helen said.
"It's 100 percent true." Ben pointed.
"I'm sorry honey but I'm just trying to do what's best for this family and him being in it isn't right."
"I think it's time for me to go." Justin said about to walk out of the door but Danielle grabbed his hand.
"No, no ones leaving. Thanks for telling me about this Ben and mama I thought you were better than this, as long as I am happy I don't care who I'm with."
"Yeah mama, I don't why you would think that it is okay to tell my boyfriend that his best friend doesn't fit in." Miranda joined in.
"William, can you help me out here." Helen pleaded.
"I'm sorry honey but you're on your own here, Justin is a really nice fella and if you took some time to get to know him you would like him." Miranda's father said not liking his wife in the eye.
"Well since no one agrees with me I think I'm going to go home." Helen walked out and everyone was speechless.
"I don't know if I started anything but the truth had to come out because you two are so happy and I couldn't lie to my girlfriends sister or my best friend." Ben said before he blacked out on the couch.
Ben was asleep for about 4 hours before he woke up and when he did wake up he had a pounding headache.
"Good lord, does your sister have any Tylenol on Advil." Ben asked rubbing his head.
"I'll go check." Miranda got up from the couch and went to her sisters room.
Justin and Danielle walked into the living room and wanted to talk to Ben.
"Thanks for letting us know about my mom, I just don't understand why she can't let me be happy." Danielle rubbed Justin's hand.
"Oh it's no problem, I just couldn't stand their any longer and not speak the truth."
"Well thanks for having back man and we'll let you and Miranda get out of here." Justin said as him and Danielle walked to the kitchen.
"Miranda came back with Advil and some water.
"Okay take this and then we'll run by a CVS or something and get you a couple Gatorade's." Miranda got herself and Ben together and they left Danielle's house.
They pulled into a CVS and Miranda went in to find the items that she needed, she got Gatorade's, some headache relief medication, and lastly a pregnancy test. Miranda hadn't had her period all month and the vomiting from this morning wasn't from the food, she thinks it is from morning sickness. She checked out and stuck the pregnancy tests in her purse.
"Alright you ready." Miranda asked Ben.
"Yep." Ben said drinking a Gatorade.
Miranda drove back to the house feeling nervous since she was going to have to pee on a stick and find out if she is pregnant or not, after all if she is pregnant it would be her first and with a man she's only know for 3 months but she truly loved him and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. They got to the apartment and Miranda helped Ben to the apartment and he went and laid on the couch.
"Hey Ben I'm going to go to the bathroom." Miranda grabbed her purse and walked to the bathroom.
Even though Miranda may have not been ready to be a mother just yet she really wanted a baby because she always loved taking care of her little cousins when she was younger. Miranda peed on the stick and waiting 10 minutes before she looked at the test again. The ten minutes had been up and the test had read positive, a tear or joy fell down her face but she had to tell Ben so she walked to the living room and talked with him.
"We need to talk." Miranda sat on that sofa beside Ben.
"Is everything okay." Ben looked worried.
"Yeah it's just that I am pregnant." Miranda made a faint smile.
"You're what."
"Ben I'm pregnant with your baby."
"Are you sure."
"Yes Ben you're the only man I've had sex with in a year so it's definitely yours." Miranda was pissed.
"That was a test, I was just checking to make sure of—." Miranda cut Ben off.
"You're still drunk so I'll wait til you're not under the influence to have this conversation." Miranda got up from the sofa but Ben grabbed her arm.
"Baby I'm kidding this is great, I wouldn't want any other woman to have my child." Ben smiled and rubbed Miranda's stomach.
"Good because I thought you would be upset and leave."
"Honey I would never just walk out on my girlfriend and especially since your having my baby."
"I'm so thankful that you understand." Miranda rubbed Ben's hand.
"How about we celebrate with a little something." Ben picked up Miranda by the waist and carried her to her room.
"Good thing Callie isn't here." Miranda put her arms around Ben's neck.
He laid her on the bed and took off his shirt.
"Damn you are so fine." Miranda started kissing Ben's abs and worked her way up to his nipples.
"Well you're quite sexy yourself." Ben pulled off her shirt and pulled off Miranda's bra and threw it across the room.
Ben kissed the top of her breast and massaged them with each hand, he then slid off her pants kissing the insides of her thighs making her wet.
"Bennn quit playin around." Miranda was desperate to have sex with Ben even though they have clearly done it before.
"Not until you say my name."
"Daddy." Miranda whispered.
"What was that." Ben put his dinger behind his ear.
"Daddy." Miranda said louder.
"That's what I like to hear." Ben said as he pulled out his member and pushed it into Miranda.
"Bennnn." Miranda cried out as he moved in and out of her.
"Oooo baby, you're so tight and wet."
"Yes Ben don't stop." she cried.
"Oh I didn't plan on it baby." Ben threw his head back.
They finally finished and laying beside each other.
"I love you and I'm so glad we are having a baby together." Miranda made circles on his chest with her finger.
"Me too babe, me too." Ben kissed her forehead and they both went to sleep.
