"You ready." Ben asked Miranda as they were in the locker room of the hospital.
"Yeah I need some rest." Miranda grabbed Ben's hand and they walked to his car.
"Me too but first I need some food."
"Well what do you want." Miranda asked as Ben opened the car door for her.
"I really want you but I could go for a sub right now."
"You're funny but subway sounds good."
"Alright subway it is." Ben said pulling out of the parking lot in his Mercedes Benz.
They got to a subway and went through the driveway and ordered their food.
"Here babe." Ben hand Miranda her food.
"Thank you, I think I'm drooling right now because this smells so good." Miranda laughed.
"Yeah it does, it's like 2am so I hope the kids ate." Ben laughed and drove home.
They got to their house and quietly unlocked the door and walked to their bedroom. Miranda changed into a pair of spandex and a sport bra and Ben put on some gray sweatpants without a shirt.
"You know when I'm tired because I would have already pounced on you with that outfit on." Ben got close to Miranda and threw a arm around her waist on their bed.
"Trust me baby I know but tonight we're really tired and we still have to take the kids to school tomorrow." Miranda opened her book.
"Don't remind me but I'm going to sleep now so I love you." Ben kissed Miranda's cheek.
"Love you too honey." Miranda said and she bang to read her book.
Miranda stayed up for about two more hours and heard Ben's obnoxious snoring which he claims he doesn't do.
"Ben stop snoring." Miranda lightly shoved him but he accidentally fell out of the bed.
"Miranda what the hell." Ben got up quickly and seen his wife laughing at him.
"I'm sorry honey." Miranda kept laughing.
"It's not funny because that hurt."
"Oh whatever, just go back to sleep."
"Well you need some sleep too." Ben threw Miranda's book on the dresser and he laid his head down on her chest.
She stroked Ben's arm and they eventually fell asleep together.
"Ma wake up you gotta take us to school." Anthony shook Miranda making her jump.
"Okay I'll be down in five." Miranda got up and slipped some sweat pants on over her spandex, threw a hoodie on and put on a pair of her bike slides.
While the kids were coming downstairs she finished making her coffee and they all went out the door.
"How was your shift last night." Mia asked her mother.
"Long and boring." Miranda smiled.
"That sucks." Miranda responded.
"Hey don't forget that I'm walking to Chloe's house after school so you don't have to pick me up." Anthony told Miranda without looking up from his phone.
"We have a dumb math test today." Damian said stuffing his mouth with a pop tart.
"Damian don't say dumb." Miranda corrected him.
"Sorry mom." Damian apologized.
Miranda drove to the high school to drop the two oldest off then to the elementary school to drop Damian off.
"I'll see you later on today and good luck on your test baby." Miranda told Damian as he got out of the car.
She drove back to the house and when she got there she went straight to her room to fall back asleep.
"That was quick." Ben mumbled.
"Yeah I guess." Miranda laughed and fell back asleep.
"At around 12pm Miranda and Ben finally woke up but we're still laying in bed.
"We have about two hours til Damian gets out and three until Mia gets out so what can we do int bat time period." Miranda checked her watch.
"What about Anthony." Ben yawned.
"He's going to that girl Chloe's house."
"Oh, well we ought to go to the park and maybe shoot some hoops." Ben laughed knowing his wife was awful at sports.
"I'm not playing basketball but I'll come with and watch get real sweaty."
"Is enjoy that." Ben rolled out of bed to go get in the shower.
When get got out Miranda was ready to go so he slid on a white Nike athletic tank top, black Nike elite shorts, and a pair of black Nike PG 4 basketball shoes. They drove to the nearest basketball park and while Ben was just getting some reps Miranda sat on the bench.
"Hello pretty lady." some random dude walked up to Miranda.
"Um hi is there something I can do for you." Miranda raised an eyebrow.
"I was wondering if you could go out with me." the dude said trying to put his hand on hers but she moved it.
Ben noticed the guy talking to Miranda and went over there to break it up.
"Hey honey." Ben walked up to Miranda and laid a kiss right on her lips in front of the guy who was hitting on her.
"Oh oh I'm sorry." the guy stuttered and left quickly while Ben and Miranda laughed at him.
"Damn he was scared of yo big ass." Miranda laughed and stood up beside her 6'1 husband.
"Good but since that happened you're coming with me." Ben dragged her on to the court.
"Benjamin Warren you know I don't do sports at all." Miranda huffed.
"I know but I'll help you with your form on shooting the ball." Ben touched her shoulder.
He stood close behind Miranda, so close that she felt her husband through his pants. Ben put the ball in her hands and put his on the outside.
"Okay follow my lead." Ben help her with the free throw.
Miranda did as she was told and the ball went through the hoop.
"See their babe, it just takes some practice." Ben kissed his wife on the cheek.
"Sure but it's 2:00 so we probably need to go get the kids." Miranda grabbed Ben's hand and they walked to her car.
They went to go get Damian first since he got out earlier then went and sat in line to get Mia.
"Hey baby." Miranda said to Damian as he got in the car.
"Uh oh what happened." Damian threw his bookbag in the floorboard.
"Nothing, why do you think that." Ben chimed in.
"Well whenever you guys pick me up together I'm always in trouble."
"Honey you're not in trouble, me and daddy were just at the park walking together." Miranda lied to her son but she didn't want them to know Ben was playing basketball without him.
"Okay are we going to get Mia."
"Yeah then we can go eat something afterwards." Miranda drove through the car rider line and went to the high school.
They waited about 30 minutes until Mia came out and she got in the back seat of the car.
"How was your day." Miranda asked Mia as she drove to drive thru.
"Amazing, Josh asked me out and we're going to the movies Saturday morning as long it's okay with you guys." Mia smiled from ear to ear.
"That's okay with us isn't Ben." Miranda hit his arm.
"Yeah I guess." Ben rolled his eyes.
They went to a Chick-Fil-A and brought the food back to their house, it wasn't long before everyone went to their rooms to take a nap since they were tired.
"I love you Benjamin Warren." Miranda kissed her husbands chin.
"Love you too Miranda Bailey." Ben pulled her close and kissed the top of her head.
