"Do you want to go in." Miranda asked Ben as they sat in his mother's driveway.
Ben's fathers funeral had ended and his family and some close friends were meeting at his mothers house.
"Yeah I guess, I don't really have a choice." Ben pinched the top of his nose so he would stop crying.
"I can go talk to your mom and explain if you don't want to."
"No it's fine let's just go get it over with." Ben walked in front of Miranda into the house.
Miranda was really worried about Ben but she knew that she just needed to let him go through his own grieving process.
"How are you doing baby." Eileen kissed Ben on the cheek.
"I'm okay right now, what about Darius and Kurt."
"They are doing okay, they're actually talking to your aunt right now."
"Okay." Ben took and deep breath and walked upstairs to his childhood bedroom.
Ben really wasn't doing so well and Eileen and Miranda both saw it.
"Miranda we need to talk about Ben." Eileen whispered.
"Yeah we do because I think he is depressed about all of this and he doesn't need this right now especially with me having his baby."
"Good I'm glad I'm not the only one that seen something going on with him."
"I'll go talk to him and I'll be back down shortly with an update." Miranda smiled and slowly making it up the stairs to go find Ben.
"There you are." Miranda walked up behind Ben and rubbed his back.
"Baby somethings wrong with me and I need help." Ben started crying and Miranda went to close the door.
"Ben it's okay you're a little depressed about your dad but we'll get you in into therapy or something like that."
"You think I'm a little depressed, well I'm not I'm a lot depressed and if it wasn't for you and the baby were having I'd probably be dead right now."
"What are you talking about Ben." Miranda was really worked now.
"That man was my rock, I told him everything from the moment I had my first kindergarten crush to the most beautiful woman that is carrying my child right now. I counted on him for everything and no matter what the situation was he was there for me, he always knew that I would do good in life which I have done but I just wish he could see his grandson grow up." Ben had leaned against the wall and slid down it all while yelling and crying tears of rage.
Miranda patted the bed so that Ben could come sit beside her.
"Baby I know he was always there for you and you always counted on him but he's gone now so you need to lean on me for right now so I can help with this." Miranda pulled him so that they were now laying in the bed.
"I'm sorry Miranda, it's just that I didn't want to put my problems on you especially since you already have enough stuff going on."
"Honey I'll always be here for you but how about we get some rest on this tiny bed and just relax."
"That sounds like a good idea." Ben smiled and kissed Miranda on the cheek.
Ben and Miranda slept for a while until Trinity, Ben's niece walked in the room.
"You two aren't doing what I think you were doing were you." the 18 year old asked.
"Girl bye does it look like we're doing anything." Miranda struggled to sit up.
"Well I mean clearly you guys have." Trinity's eyes went to Miranda's stomach.
"Trinity did you need something." Ben interrupted them.
"Actually yeah I wanted to talk to Miranda."
"Okay well I need to go downstairs anyway and talk with your dad so I'll leave you two alone." Ben left and went downstairs.
"Thank you uncle Benji." Trinity smile and sat on the bed next to Miranda.
"Is everything good." Miranda asked the teen.
"Yeah it's just I've sort of gotten myself into a situation and I feel like I don't want to tell anyone in the family not that you're not family but I feel like you could handle it a little better than my parents on Ben because they would probably flip out on me."
"Alright so what is this problem that you're having."
"Miranda I've been having this sort of weed addiction and it's just when I don't have any I just go off the rails with almost anything."
"Well we can deal with this secretly for right now but I need to answer a couple questions. The first one is how long have you been clean and the second is how long has this been going on for." Miranda put her hand in the girls knee.
"The last time I had it was about three days ago and I probably started about a year ago when my mom had her miscarriage." Trinity let a tear roll down her eye.
"Your mom had a miscarriage."
"Yeah Ben didn't tell you."
"No but that's good to know. Anyways first you need to get rid of all your weed and I'm going to make sure you do that and secondly I'm going to get you into a clinic with someone at a different hospital that me and your uncle don't work at." Miranda counted on her fingers.
"Are you sure they all won't find out about this."
"No because every other week when you're at the clinic we'll be having a girls day and they won't know."
"Miranda I can't thank you enough." Trinity gave Miranda a hug.
"Your welcome but I am going to have to tell Ben and your parents about this eventually after you get clean."
"Yeah I know but thank you again." Trinity kissed Miranda's cheek and left the room.
Miranda can't believe that Trinity got herself into this situation but she wasn't going to let the teen suffer. Miranda left the bedroom and went to go find Ben, she seen him talking to his brother Darius and his wife Arielle.
"Hey Miranda can we talk I talk to you for a minute." Arielle pulled Miranda to the side.
"Is everything okay." Miranda asked as she rubbed her stomach to stop the baby from kicking.
"Did Trinity talk to you about her weed problem."
"Oh how did you know about that."
"Girl it's so obvious, as soon as she walks through the door you can smell it on her." Arielle rolled her eyes.
"If you knew about it why didn't you say anything to her."
"Miranda she's been giving me and Darius a hard time lately and if I feel like I really pissed her off she would do something even worse like run away."
"Well would you mind if Trinity comes to stay with me and Ben for a little while so you and Darius can get your guy's head straight and not have to completely worry about her." Miranda smiled and grabbed the woman's hand.
"Oh thank you Miranda, I'll talk to Trinity and Darius about it but they should be on board." Arielle gave Miranda a hug.

-3 months later-
Miranda was due about any day know and she was getting tired of carrying this baby but on the bright side Trinity had been living with her and Ben for about 2 months know so that it gave Darius and Arielle a break.
"Trinity hurry up or you'll be late to school." Miranda yelled as she unlocked the front door.
"I'm coming I had to put on some perfume." Trinity said coming down the steps of the house.
"Alright I'll see you when you get home, love you." Miranda felt a pain and then she get water run down her leg.
"Miranda did you just pee on yourself."
"No my water broke so you're not going to school because you have to take me to the hospital."
"Do I need to call uncle Benji."
"Yes but wait til we get in the car." Miranda said before she walked to her bedroom to get her bag packed.
Once Miranda got her things together they made it to the hospital with Trinity driving.
"Do you need a wheelchair." Trinity asked holding her arm.
"No I need an epiiiidurallll." Miranda's word was interrupted by a contraction.
"Okay well let's just get into the hospital." Trinity exclaimed.
They got into the hospital and her contractions were several minutes apart. While they were at the desk Ben seen Trinity and Miranda cradling her stomach to help with the pain.
"What are you two doing here." Ben touched Miranda's back.
"My water brokeeee." Miranda had another contraction.
"Alright we'll let's get you to a room and get you situated, Trinity can you grab her bags." Ben asked.
They got Miranda checked in and wheeled her into a room.
"I heard we have a baby on the way." Callie popped her head into Miranda's room.
"Yeah we do." Miranda took deep breaths.
Trinity was rubbing Miranda's back because when went to get Miranda some ice chips.
"How many centimeters are you dilated." Callie rubbed Miranda's shoulder.
"Four so we definitely have a while to go." Miranda rolled her eyes.
"Hey Trinity can you call my sisters, your grandma,  your parents, and your uncle." Miranda pointed to  the teens phone.
"Yeah of course I'll be outside the room." Trinity started dialing numbers.
The people that Trinity call showed up in the waiting room and were waiting a while at that, Trinity informed them on what was going on and hung out with her parents for a little while.
"How you feeling." Ben asked as Miranda sat on a yoga ball.
"Tired like really tired." Miranda wiped sweat from her face.
"How about we try something." Ben suggested.
He walked her to the bed and helped her up there and he sat behind her and relieved some of the pressure on her.
"Better now." Ben questioned.
"Yeah a little."
"Glad I could help." Ben kissed the back of Miranda's head.
Several hours had passed before Miranda could even start pushing but she was finally able to push but it was one rocky road.
"Baby all you need is one more big push and you'll be done with it, I promise." Ben stroked her hair and did as mush as he could for her.
"Miranda he's right one more push and it will be over with." the doctor that was delivering the baby nodded as she spoke.
Miranda gave one more big push and finally their baby boy was out and crying so much but that was a good thing.
"You did it baby, now I'm going to go check on our son and let you relax." Ben kissed Miranda's forehead while she fell asleep.
When Miranda woke up she seen a box with a ring in it sitting on the nightstand beside the hospital bed.
"Ben, what is this." Miranda whispered holding the ring and trying not to wake up their baby.
"It's an engagement and considering we just had a baby I thought you would maybe like to marry me." Ben smiled and sat at the foot of the hospital bed.
"Of course I'll marry you Ben."
"Really because I was just throwing it out there, I didn't know if you were down for it or not."
"Ben I love you with all my heart and I wouldn't want to marry anyone else because you are the love of my life baby."
"Well good because you are the love of my life too." Ben laid beside Miranda as they starred at their new son.
