This first part doesn't have all too much gt in it but uh I personally like it ack-

TW!! Blood and a car crash!!

"Thanks for stopping," Alvin said breathlessly, shaking her umbrella of rain as best as possible before sliding into the back seat of the car, slamming the door shut. Water dripped off her coat and hair, pooling in the back of the seat. She gave it an apologetic look. "Oh dear, ack, I'm sorry for getting your seat wet-"

The driver swung his arm around the front seat and glanced back at her with a friendly grin. "S'alright!" He said, not even glancing at the seat. "There's been worse stuff back there, trust me." Alvin let out a breathless chuckle. "S- where ya headed?"

"Uh, FryTown? Funny sort of name, innit?" The driver did a double take, like she was a bit out of her rocker.

"FryTown? Visiting family?" He chuckled a bit, picking at the leather headrest. "I don't see why anyone would want to come up other than that."

Alvin gave a little laugh, glancing down at her moist hands which were intertwined between her calves. "Actually, I'm moving there. My brother already got the moving truck down there, I just needed to drive." The driver gave her an odd sort of look, though it wasn't unfriendly.

"Oh! Your moving, that's fun! I live there too, maybe we're neighbors." He chuckled, before turning and starting to steer the car back onto the road and drive. "Might 's well introduce myself if that's the case. Ian Baker, at'cher service." Alvin felt herself smile.

"I'm Alvin Sumner." She replied, starting to fumble with her coat and pull her phone out- she needed to call a tow truck. "Eh- 'scuse me, I need to call someone." She chuckled sheepishly, unlocking it and quickly searching up the nearest tow company.

"Call away!" Ian grinned, thrumming his fingers against the steering wheel. She quickly dialed up a towing company and conversed with them about picking her car up, occasionally pausing to ask Ian about the location. When all was said and done, and her phone was slid safely back in her pocket, Ian glanced back at her through the rearview mirror.

"Since your moving to town, you might wanna know about our legend." Alvin almost immediately perked up. She loved folklore and legends and things like that. They were so interesting to her, how people made these stories to explain things. Sometimes they were even real.

"I would love to hear about it. I didn't see anything about a legend when looking FryTown up." Ian chuckled slightly.

"We don't tell many folks about him. Don't want anybody coming up here, capitalizing on the poor thing." His hand lifted up and waved about. "We honestly have no idea how he got here or why he's here, he'sa real young kiddo, very nervous. Lives out in the pine forest, hasn't given us a name yet s' we just call him the FryTown giant or simply Fry." He paused glancing back at Alvin, who was listening with wide eyes.

"Oh wow, wait, so he's a giant?" She tilted her head slightly, trying to absorb as much information as possible. The man nodded.

"Mhm. Realer than any cryptid you've heard of, too. Some farmers find footprints near their fields and some livestock missing, but he'll try and repay it with a lil' deer in the field just a few days later. Innit cute?" Ian chuckled. "Anyway, he lives in the forest, this forest, the pine forest, rarely comes near the road but won't be afraid to help someone. I've actually been held by the thing, s'the scariest experience ever, but he helped me before gettin' crushed by a falling tree."

Alvin couldn't help but peer out the window, seeing if she could spot a hulking shape within the trees. Part of her wondered how much of this was true, or just something the town collectively decided was their lore. It was really interesting, either way. There wasn't much friendly lore that she could find.

"Wow." She murmured, leaning her forehead against the cool, humid glass. For a few minutes all they did was drive, Ian turning the radio on to a nice station and singing along, Alvin simply staring up at the collosal evergreens lining the road.

"What street do you live on?" She asked, lifting her head to look at Ian. The black haired man glanced back at her through the mirror- and the car gave a violent jerk. The side of her head slammed hard into the window, she thought she heard a scream before the front of the car slammed hard into something throwing her against the passenger seat and everything went dark.

~.    ~.     ~.     ~.     ~.     ~.     ~.

Alvin let out a low groan. Her whole head throbbed, and there was a particular stabbing pain in her temple. She could smell smoke and blood. Her heart gave a violent kick.

Slowly she lifted her head, wincing as her brain felt like it constricted. Through her blurry vision she could make out the shape of the car, the headlights blaring against a thick trunk that had squashed the hood. The airbags had been blow up, but there were shards of glass everywhere.

Ian's face was pressed into an airbag, but long, thin lines of red sliced across his face. Alvin nearly choked. She fumbled frantically with the car door before shoving it open, stumbling out into the wet night air and around to the drivers door. All she could here was rain pattering down on the ground and the car hissing.

She tried to yank the door open but it had gotten jammed somehow- her heart sunk lower. "I-Ian!" She yelped, yanking on the door as hard as possible. It screeched angrily at her, but didn't open. Oh god. Her heart was sinking into the pit of her stomach as she fumbled with her pocket before yanking out her phone. Shit. Shit shit shit, it was beyond damaged.

Alvin let out a helpless wail, trying to yank hard on the door to get Ian out. Every second that passed, pain and fear and guilt swelled up ten fold in her. She didn't notice the slight tremor that shook the ground, or the dark mass that moved closer through the forest. Not until a massive hand slowly moved from the trees and grabbed the car.

Alvin was in shock. All she could do was watch as the metal mass was lifted into the trees before something seemed to just wash over her body and her eyes rolled back into darkness, everything fading out from existence.
