Piper didn't like life, it wasn't really very fun after seeing countless friends die.
An immortal life was even worse, especially when you had to watch your immortal best friend suffer from a mega sized heartbreak.
Of corse immortal life did have its pros.
Everyone at Camp Olympus was immortal, well chose to be, in theory they could unchoose it, but Piper didn't feel like the gods would take that very well.
Piper glanced at Jason. His Imperial Gold glasses flashed in the sunlight. His blonde hair was swept back, his ice blue eyes shone with content and his little scar stood out against his tanned skin.
Piper looked out at the dark ocean that hadn't been its normal crystal colour for almost 300 years, she listened to the waves lapping on the sand of the beach at Camp Olympus and couldn't help be reminded of her old friend. Percy Jackson, son of Poesiden. Annabeth's boyfriend. One of the six lost souls, the first six to disappear from the underworld. Piper hadn't met any of the other lost souls but she knew that Annbeth had known them all. Bianca Di Angelo. Nico's big sister. Zöe Nightshade. Daughter of Atlas. Silena Beauregard. Piper's idol, a daughter of Aphrodite who had died in the second Titan war. Charles Beckendorf. Ex head councillor of cabin 9. Luke Castellan. The host of Kronos who had died to protect Annabeth, and Percy Jackson.
Piper knew that they were out there somewhere. She could almost smell Percy's salty scent on the air. If she knew where they were, then she would tell everyone, but she didn't dare speak. Annabeth was only now after 300 years starting to get over Percy's death, Piper didn't want to destroy the progress. After all, if Jason died she knew she would never get over it.
"We should go," Jason said, "there's that meeting on Olympus that Zeus asked us too."
Piper nodded, they both got to their feet and walked away from the beach.Charm didn't understand why they had to wear the hoods. They were so, well black. She tugged at the hood.
"Why black?" She asked Chaos, "it's so last century."
"I like black," Alpha asked, "Yer but why the hoods!"
"I would rather they not know what you look like, it could endanger then further," Chaos said, "and that is not necessary."
"Um, okay," Star said.
"So shall we get out there and introduce us to some gods?" Forge said, smiling in a jokey way and rubbing his hands together.
"You shall go alone, I have more important matters to attend too," Chaos said, he pointed to a portal, "use that one."
"Ok," Saviour grinned. "let's get this war started!"
They stepped into the portal.
