Flowers, beautiful music, lovely décor, there is fun and festivities and everyone is happy. This is truly a day like no other. So why is it that someone is crying? Celestia watched as the one she loved was taken from her by someone else that is so sweet that she can't come to hate. It was the wedding day of Fluttershy and Discord and everyone congratulated a lovely marriage between the two. They always did make a good couple, Fluttershy was his first friend after all. Celestia thought with tears in her eyes and a fake smile.
There was much cheering from friends and family. "Now who is ready to party!" Pinkie Pie shouted and everyone got excited. That's probably why she was chosen as the wedding planner. "I apologize, but I must be heading home there is something I need to do. Congratulations and blessings to you both!" Celestia told the couple. "Oh Celestia, you were always so busy! Guess that hasn't changed about you!" Discord replied while he chuckled. Celestia chuckled back. "I guess you're right! Well goodbye!" She waved at them while walking away. "Leaving so soon sister? If you don't mind I'm going to stay here for a while." Luna said. "Oh that's no problem! I'll just be heading on my way than. See you later sister!" Celestia replied.
It was a starry night and it was so beautiful. She stopped by a lake that reflected the cosmos perfectly. She sat down near the lake and stared into the water, once she was sure no one was around she started to sob. Celestia has dealt with heartache before, this hurt the same as losing her sister, perhaps even a bit more because she knows that she would never get him back. What could I have done to change this. Just as she had thought that, she recalled what Discord just told her before she left. "Oh Celestia, you were always so busy! Guess that hasn't changed about you!" "I was too busy, I was too busy!" She spoke to herself while crying. "If only I had a chance to go back in time and we could have been best friends. I always liked him I don't know why I did nothing about it. Stupid duties! I wish I could have known better! He could never have loved me because I never tried to help!"
Celestia was crying harder than before, cursing herself for not doing anything when suddenly she heard someone else's voice. "That could change if you want it to!" The mysterious voice said. "Who said that?!" When she asked that someone came out from behind a bush , it was hard to make out the features of this mystery pony because they were covered up with a large cloak. "I said that, although I cannot tell you my name, I will tell you that I possess great powers. I can help you with your little problem." The hooded figure said. "How can you help me and why should I trust you? Everything about this is suspicious!-" "That is your problem! You spend all of this time thinking but not enough time doing. If you want to get the one you love, I can send you back in time before those two ever met! And you will stay there until the job is done." Celestia looked in surprise. "You can really do that? What's in it for you? Is there a contract I have to sign?-" Celestia was cut off again by the figure putting their hoof over their mouth. "Do you want to do it? This a once in a lifetime opportunity!" Celestia nodded with tears still in her eyes. "It is done, you will see tomorrow." The figure touched Celestia's forehead and a burst of magic went out of their hoof and Celestia's head hit the ground.
