Confrontation

Luna wakes up to tend to her duty of lowering the moon. Which is something that is normally done every day; But she wishes it was a normal day. Everything feels wrong and, well, fake. Her magical Aura starts to grip the moon and she tries to pay no attention to the sun, as her nervous system is highly sensitive right now. As she finally lowers the moon she goes over to Celestia's room.

Celestia is in her room brushing her hair in front ofthe mirror as she overthinks last night. She glanced over to see Discord still in her bed, but instead of feeling happy, she feels somewhat ashamed. Ashamed that she forced a love that was not made naturally. And ashamed that she would give up everything for someone who didn't even care for her in the beginning. Suddenly, a knock on the door breaks her from her trance.

Celestia opens the door and Luna is waiting with a scowl. "What is it this time?" She says annoyed as she steps out the door. "I need to talk to you, I was in your dream last night." Luna gulped as she remembered. Celestia looked at her in shock. "I saw what that thing said to you." Luna starts forming tears. "And I know that it wasn't a dream. It was a calling. I just want to know why you would sell your soul for something so trivial." Celestia also started to tear up but it turned into anger as she remembers that she had been played by the hooded pony from that night by the lake. "I was caught at a vulnerable time. I was so depressed that nothing else mattered to me. It was so stupid and selfish but it hurts! It hurts when you love someone and they don't even like you back as a friend." She turned around to look back at Discord who was still asleep. "He would have never loved me on his own. And I know it's selfish to force love onto someone, so I deserve whatever consequences there might be..." Tears start to form in her eyes and Luna's frightened expression turned into one of sympathy. She wiped the tears from her sisters eyes; and without words she embraced her. "I will be here for you no matter what..." Luna said in a comforting tone.

There was a sound of sheets moving and Celestia turned back around quickly. "Thank you so much for your help sister, but I can't describe the joy I feel now that I am here. I hope you understand, and thank you for your time." She closed the door on her face as Luna stood there in shock. Did my words mean nothing to her? Perhaps she will soon realize the gravity of the situation... Luna walked away back to her room. Discord rubbed his eyes and stretched. "Ugh, that was the best sleep of my life!" Celestia's eyes brightened at the sight of him. "Good morning dear!" She walked over to rub her face in his. Discord blushed and felt like he was burning inside. And it felt great. He puts his arms around her and pulls her into the bed with him, her face is shocked and she is blushing heavily while he pets her head rough. "Oh my Celestia is so beautiful!" She had never felt this good in her life and it seemed her face kept getting redder and redder. Just as she thought she couldn't be happier, he gave her a quick kiss on the lips. Once he was more awake, he started to realize all the things he just said and did and felt very flustered. Ew ew ew! I know I like her a lot but there was no need to be so cheesy! I feel so gross saying all that. "My Celestia?" She's a whole pony! Egads... His thoughts were interrupted when he saw the look of Celestia's face. He had never seen her so happy, her watery eyes, red face, and the biggest grin anyone has ever given him. Oh but she is so beautiful... I'm so happy to be with her...
