My alarm clock woke me up abruptly, it's beeps ringing out like sirens. I groaned, do I really have to get up today? The answer is yes. I have to go to high school. It's pretty boring for the most part but today, today was different. we're going to be getting 4 exchange students. I was to be showing two of them around the school and Peter showing the others. The information about them was little-known. Principal Fury kept them under lock and key.
I trudged downstairs and poured myself some cereal. Peter sat down and stared at me.
"Is that what you're going to be wearing? "Peter asked.
I rolled my eyes. "What is wrong with a pair of leggings and an oversized sweatshirt? You tell me."
He raised an eyebrow. "I just thought you would have dressed a little nicer you know for meeting somebody new."
"What are you trying to imply here?" I said, raising my voice.
"I don't know, maybe you need to socialize more and actually have friends."
I felt the anger rise in me. "Just like that. I have friends - called books."
"That's my point your friends are books you don't even have-" Peter got cut off by Aunt May.
"That's enough arguing between you two. Peter, please don't pick on your sister. Gwen, Peter is slightly right. you really should wear something that is not a sweatshirt or hoodie." She said using a stern voice.
" Fine." I huffed as I went up the stairs to my room. Time to pick out a decent outfit. I finally settled on a white top with grey capris and went downstairs
"Better?" I asked May.
"Much." She said. "Now hurry up! You're going to be late."
I grabbed my backpack and ran out the door.
A/N - Sorry for a super short chapter. Felt a little lazy. So who are the exchange students? Let me know in the comments!
