Sirens.

Sirens are all you hear in the dead of night.

Travis lifts his head up from the steering wheel, blood dripping off his temple from where the airbag hit him.

"Sir, I need you to take it easy. You've been hit head on so any sudden movements right now are critical." The female medic says with authority.

He was too tired to speak. All he wanted was to close his eyes and take a long nap.

"We've got two teenagers down the bank smashed up against an oak tree! I need assistance over here." Another medic calls out. Some of the firefighters carefully walk down the bank with their tools. Edith needed to be cut out.

Dallas was already pulled out and onto a stretcher with a neck brace on to keep him from moving too much. "Hey no... no you have to take her first." He mumbles, vision a bit blurry. "You have to take Edith." He tried sneaking a glance over at the truck but with the stupid brace around his neck it was no use.

Edith was knocked out cold, pulse weakening by the second. "This doesn't look good... Brian I need an oxygen mask stat." The veteran firefighter says to one of the many medics on the scene. "We're gonna get you out of here. You just gotta hang on for us, okay? I know your parents are wondering where you are." He speaks softly as he gets his saw ready. The branch was closed around Edith, pushing into her abdomen and it would be more deadly to move it than cutting it precisely.

Travis' stomach drops and his blood runs cold when he catches sight of the vehicle he collided with. "That's my daughter's truck. That's Edith's truck... Edith and Dallas. Edith! Edith!" He started to panic, pushing the medic in from of him out of the way. Two police officers grab him before he can make it down the bank. "No! Let go of me! That's my baby girl down there."

The saws start going, slow but steady. Travis and Dallas would hopefully be alright but the main concern with everyone was saving a teenage girl tonight. Especially since her father was going nuts and the other teenager insisted she be taken care of first.
