I Told Him One Lie (An AfterDeath story)

Part 7: Kinda Confessing

It has been three months since that day, and my thoughts about Geno haven't changed.
I've over looked now many, many, many times to confess and tell him how I feel. Yet when I think I can...I can't. I wouldn't say anything, and just make a stupid joke.
I felt like part of the reason I did this was because I didn't want to get Geno more tangled up in my weird life. He didn't deserve to get stuck to me, not like that...atleast that's what I thought...
...
I have to tell him though, I can't keep it from him for ever, and I need to get it off my chest for me.
We were at my house, I was flipping through channels on the TV and Geno was getting himself a snack. I breathed
"Hey Geno, I have this cool place I haven't shown you yet. Thought you might want to check it out."
"Reaper it's getting late, we can go on one of your adventures tomorrow."
Good an excuse to not- ...no, no more excuses.
"Come on you'll like it, and we won't even be there for that long."
"Why do you want to go so bad?"
"No reason I just want to"
"I mean, that is a reason"
"Well then in your logic I have one reason that I want to go. So please?"
Geno just looked at me and rolled his eyes, smiling.
"If you really want to, then quickly-"
"Ok let's go!"
I said as I pulled Geno through a portal. We exited on the side walk of the town he first saw on the surface. He was confused.
"Reaper? What are we doing here?"
"Just come on, I want to show you something."
He was still a bit confused but followed me, we walked for a while till we were infront of a tall-ish building.
I stopped and Geno stopped to.
"So what's going on-"
"Just trust me?.."
I asked him, he looked over to see my hand out and my wings open. He then realized where I wanted to go. He looked up
"You want to go up there..?"
"Ya, what are you afraid of hights?"
I chuckled joking, but when I looked over at Geno...he seemed nervous and scared. I sighed and smiled warmly.
"Please tell me that after almost three years that you can trust me?"
Geno still looked nervous...I didn't like making him nervous but I still thought that he would like this. I thought that this would be the best and perfect place to tell him.
He laughed a bit then turned towards me, and he actually stuck out his hand.
"I...I trust you"
I was surprised but nonetheless I took his hand and almost effortlessly lifted us both of the ground. He was odvisely a bit freaked out and was screaming.
"H-Hey be careful! Slow down god damnit!"
"It's fine! Your ok"
I tryed reassuring him and it looked like it helped as he clinged to my hand more. After less then thirty seconds of flying we were up on the roof. I put Geno down and he yelled at me, which didn't surprise me.
"God, Reaper you almost gave me a heart attack!"
"But you're ok right?"
"I-...I'm fine"
He couldn't argue that, he was fine there wasn't a scratch on him. So I went and sat on the edge of the roof. Geno walked over so a patted on a spot next to me.
"Come on sit down"
"I don't want to fall-"
"If you're stupid enough to fall, then I'll be quick enough to catch you. Ok?"
Geno was still hesitant but sat down next to me.
"So what are we doing up here?"
"Just look over there"
I pointed out infront of us and Geno looked, there was an amazing golden sunset infront of us. Geno looked and was pleasantly amazed, he chuckled a little.
"Never took to be a sunset guy"
"It helps me relax when I'm stressed some times..."
I breathed
"It helps me think to, its quiet and nice you know?"
"Ya I understand"
Geno said looking back out infront of us, again I breathed...I have to tell him... N-Now...
"So uh Geno there's something I've been meaning to tell you..."
"Ok? Go ahead"
"Well you're probably gonna find this hilarious and said I'm stupid."
"So you're telling me a joke"
We laughed but I was still nervous
"At this point I'm starting to run out of those."
"Ya I don't believe you, but go ahead say what you want."
"Ok..."
I said ok but nothing came out after that, Geno looked at me confused.
"You gonna say it?"
"Ya..."
I looked away from Geno, then back at him.
"Geno I need to tell you, that I...I..."
Geno again still looked confused
"You...Wh- Mm!?"
I couldn't do it, I couldn't tell him, and my body acted on it's own. I didn't realise what I was doing till it was happening...holy shit...holy fucking shit...I'm...I'm kissing him!?
What the hell am I thinking!? Did I think!?
He's gonna hate me! Oh wait he probably already does!
For the second this was happening, and I was thinking these thoughts. I realized that my eyes were closed, I knew that if I opened them I would see Geno pulling away or at the very least his eyes opened wider than pool balls.
I...I still hesitantly opened my eyes expecting to see a very angry Geno. But I didn't?..
He wasn't moving away, if anything he was slowly moving closer. His eyes closed, his cheeks a light and perfect cyan.
My hand was on his cheek so...I pulled him in more and he didn't stop me. It wasn't like an intense kiss, but it was definitely no peck on the lips either. We sat like that for maybe a minute, but it felt like an amazing eternity, then it stopped. We breather not heavy or anything, but we still breathed. I felt his breath on my face as he slowly opened his eye and looked at me.
I was taking my hand off of his face when he stopped looking at me, and looked down at my hand. I stopped as he slowly looked back up at me. I put my hand back up on his face, he leaned into my hand as he stared at me.
"So...do I still need to-"
"Just shut up"
He said, putting his hand on the one I had on him and kissing me. This one lasted longer but once again we had to break, and once again we breathed harder then we did last time.
Geno looked at me again and said
"Did you really have to do that up here?"
"I thought it would be...easier?"
"Pfhahaha, did you not see me shiting my pants just looking up here?"
"Haha fair point"
Geno looked out in front of us again as he leaned on my shoulder.
"So...how long have you...thought about me like this."
"Do you really want to know?"
"A little...but can we maybe get down first?"
"Why? You still freaked out?"
"Would you hate me if I said yes"
We laughed and I smiled
"I definitely won't hate you for that. But nice try."
"Nice try? Ha what's that supposed to mean?"
"Oh nothing, just didn't think you'd try and shake me so soon."
"I won't do that, I need you to get down"
"Ouch is that it?"
"No it's not but if you haven't realised yet I would really like to get down."
"Geez, ok, ok"
I stuck out my hand but instead of him grabbing it, he wrapped his arm around my neck putting his head on my shoulder.
I blushed a bit but not very much.
"Are you really that freaked out?"
"I'd rather be safe then sorry. Why am I making you uncomfortable?"
Geno said in a joking tone as he looked at me with his arms still around my neck.
I just rolled my eyes
"No, it'll take alot to make me uncomfortable. And you wrapping your arms around me like this..."
I grazed my hand across Geno's face until my hand was on the back of his head. I leaned my forehead on his closing my eyes... It felt amazing.
"Is just perfect...for me"
"Haha..don't be cheesey"
"Fine, fine I won't, and I'll get you down"
"Thank you."
I carefully picked him up making him blush and yell at me. I didn't mind and jumped down flapping my wings to land safely, and reassure Geno that everything was fine.
I put him down, but he wouldn't let me go.
"We're on the ground now it's fine"
"O-Oh ok"
Geno slowly let me go, but when one of his arms were going down I reached out and grabbed his hand. I wrapped my fingers in his, again he blushed.
"This ok?"
"Ya...ya it's fine"
Geno said as we began to walk
We walked for a while then I open a portal back home. We went inside and since it was summer, the time was all messed up. So even though the sun just set some where else it was around nine or ten o'clock where we lived.
"Well it's late, I'm probably gonna go to bed, unless you wanted to do something~"
Geno again blushed but I just chuckled
"I'm just kidding Geno"
"Ya I know, it's just different"
"It's fine I get it"
I let go of Geno's hand and began to walk towards the hallway where my room was.
"Hey...wait..."
"Ya what is it?"
"You better not make some stupid ass joke about this...but I want to... Is it ok if I sleep with you?"
The one time he specifically told me not to make a joke he said that, I wanted to explode with bad snarky jokes, one liners, anything, but I kept my mouth shut.
"Are you sure? I don't want to be moving to fast for-"
"Remember earlier when I asked how long you've liked me for?"
"Um ya why?"
"The reason I wanted to know was because...well..."
He walked over to me and layed his head on my chest.
"I have for about...a year now..."
My face was so hot I'm surprised that it wasn't on fire. A year? And I never realized.
"I haven't even been counting"
"Hehe ya I should have expected as much from a dumb shit like you..."
We laughed again but then I yawned, still tired.
"Wanna go to bed?"
"Ya...and my guess is your coming with me?"
"I've odvisely waited a while, and my guess is you have to."
"I mean ya I gues, but like I said if this is-"
"Just shut up, you talk to much"
Geno said smiling, his smile made me smile.
"Ok fine, are we going to go to bed?
"There we go, and yes we are. Because like you I'm also exhausted."
"From earlier with the heigh-"
"Don't even start"
"Haha fine I won't"
He quickly went into what use to be his room and changed his clothes.
It wasn't much different just a white shirt and some shorts that were a bit shorter than the ones he normally wore.
When he saw me in something other than my black robe he seemed surprised.
Normally I just sleep with boxers on, but since Geno insisted on sleeping with me I put on some shorts and an old tee shirt. My wings were now more exposed then they ever had been before.
"So that's what you look like in normal clothes?"
"If my pajamas are normal clothes to you then ya I guess."
I went over and sat on the bed and layed down, Geno went ahead and layed down next to me.
It was awkward at first, we were just laying next to each other blushing like crazy. Then he turned towards me and scooted closer. I wrapped my arm around as he did the same. I rubbed the back of his head which seemed to make him happy.
I then realized that during the night my wings could become a...problem for Geno. So I decided to make them the opposite.
Along with my arms my wings were now also around Geno. He blushed some more but smiled, as his eyes began to close.
It went quiet so I thought that Geno had gone to sleep or atleast almost had. When I then heard him say
"Hey Reaper..."
"Ya?"
"I...I love you..."
I wasn't expecting to hear that but nonetheless I said back
"I love you to"
"Night"
"Night..."
I gave him a little kiss on his head as he drifted off to sleep.
I was happy, no beyond that and more. I had him...like I wanted and there wasn't anything else I would want more...I was just so happy...
These thoughts of happiness raced throughout my brain as I finally succumbed, drifting off to sleep.
