Part 14: Hapy Birthday

Goth was turning five and yes I know you missed one through four but this one for me was a very different day. Anyways there were alot of monsters...and things...and just alot going on for me. I saw everyone else talking so I was just watching the kids and I didn't mind, besides they made me a little nervous.
"Dad! Dad!"
Goth yelled as him, PJ, and the twins ran over to me.
"What's going on kid?"
"Can ya fly us up!?"
"Wha-? Oh um..."
I knew I could hold PJ and Goth...but I defiantly could not touch the twins.
"Um sorry Goth I know it's your birthday but you know I can't, I'm sorry buddy..."
Goth was sad but he then had a thought
"I know, I know! But me and daddy went and got something.- Cause you were nervous aboout the school thing in a few months- And just- He said to wait but, but- I'll just go get them now!-"
He threw out some many different thoughts at once that I didn't really know what he was saying.
"Wait you're going to school!?"
PJ asked excitedly surprised.
"Ya I'll tell you about it later, let's just go. We'll be back dad with your surprise!"
Goth again screamed. I was still confused with what was going on, I noticed Geno heard what Goth said and tryed to get him before he went in the house but failed. So he called out
"Gothy! No wait!"
I was now just really confused as Geno followed Goth inside. I snickered quickly glancing at my phone as Goth ran back outside through a different door so Geno wouldn't get him.
He ran over to me with a little box and gegesture for me to take it.
"Here dad"
I took the tiny box from Goth still a little confused with what this had to do with his original request. I just shrugged it off as I began to open the small box. Just as I took off the top Geno ran out. I waved and looked in the box then stopped for a second.
"Oh"
"Daddy said they were special! Aunt Life helped him make them!"
It was a black pair of cloves, thick, the outside was made out of leather.

Looking on the inside it appeared normal but feeling it I recognize the material. It was the same material my robe was made of which surprised me. My robe makes it's so I won't kill anyone by brushing up against there body on accident or something.
I looked at Goth, he seemed excited. Then I looked at Geno, and he had a look of guilt. I just chuchuckled and rubbed Goth's head.
"Thanks buddy"
"Mhm! Now can we go up?"
Goth asked I wasn't sure, again I looked over at Geno. He was smiling now but I could still feel how bad he felt about getting these gloves for whatever reason. But still I put the gloves on and they fit perfectly. I then unfolded my wings, and the others looked over a bit surprised that I had wings.
"Wow I never knew he could do that..."
Ink said happily surprised like everyone else was. After I put the gloves on I had four small children jumping up at me, which maybe me a little anxious.
"Woah, woah ok clam down"
I didn't know what to do in this situation, so once again I looked over at Geno and everyone else. Geno now had a smug look and no one was gonna help me manage the situation. I was alone, fuck.
"Ok then, um... Goth it's your birthday so..."
"Yay I can go first!"
The other children groaned I smiled awkwardly, picking up Goth.
"Ready?"
"Mhm"
Goth hummed as I lifted off the ground, I flu around a little him laughing happily and Geno yelling from the ground.
"You better not drop our son you dumbass bird!"
"It's fine daddy! I'm not afraid of heights!"
Geno face heated a little bit, being embarrassed. I just chuckled and flapped back down onto the ground. I put Goth down, he was all happy and smiley.
"Again! Again!"
"Maybe after buddy, you should let your friends try to."
"Aw fine, I'm go talk to daddy. Have fun guys!"
Goth yelled happily running over to the still embarrassed and partly freaked out Geno. I looked down now at the other children. The oldest technically Nyala by a few minutes, and PJ the youngest by much longer. I went ahead and picked up PJ being alot less nervous with him then the twins. I flu around with PJ, he laughed and giggled like Goth. And apparently Error was also a bit nervous with how high we were.
"J-Just be careful Jam-m-my..."
Ya Error was starting to get nervous I could hear it in his glitchy voice. After a little while I landed and gave PJ to Error.
"Here you go, sorry I made you so nervous."
"I wasn't n-n-nervous..."
I grinned and raise an eyebrow skeptically. Ink giggled and Error sighed.
"Ok fine maybe a little"
"It's fine dude I-"
"Hey I wanna go!"
"No Nyala I wanna!"
The twins had run over to us and started arguing who got to go next. Now I really wasn't sure what to do and nervously looked at Sans and Red. They also seemed unsure but nodded, signifying that at the very least they trusted me to make the right decision. I didn't know that right decision though....
If Life helped Geno with these then they should be fine...right?..
I looked down at that twins, other than them no one said anything...they were waiting... So I carefully reached down and picked up one of the kids my eyes closed for whatever reason. I had then had the scary thought that my arms would suddenly get lighter and I would hear screaming...but that didn't happen...
"Hey Mr.Reaper, you ok?"
I opened my eyes and saw Nyala looking at me confused.
"No fair! I wanted to be first!"
Divide yelled angrily, Red just grumbled
"Just be patient, and wait your turn!"
"Mrgg...fine..."
"Just...j-just wait kid I'll be back in a minute."
I reassured, but Divide just groaned again but nodded. Both twins had fun and I was still happily surprised that I was even able to pick them up. But when I was done and put Divide down, I saw Geno's bad look from before return. I just smiled and went over to him.
"Something wrong honey?"
I called him that on purpose knowing that he doesn't like me calling him things like that. He didn't even say anything looking at the ground. I atleast expected him to say something snarky but nothing...
"Geno...what is it?.."
"Nothing I just feel bad..."
"What? Why?"
"I don't..."
He thought...and sighed sadly
"I don't want you to think that you have to wear those- Or that I want you to- I just thought that- It might've helped you be less nervous- Becauss lately you were- and when we were talking about Goth and school you seemed anxious- Oh but it wasn't just then either- It's just-...you know..."
"Um ya?"
I guess it was genetic, cause he was talking just like Goth from earlier and I had no clue what he was trying to say or what point he was trying to make.
"...It's just because you were nervous about going to look at Goth's school..."
At first I didn't get it then I remember are talk a few days ago... I was nervous about having to walk around a school, with so many familys... I didn't want to accidentally kill a kid...or some parent angry about monsters being in schools...
Even though in most places it's been years now it still took some didigging for me and Geno to find a good school Goth could even go to...
Anyways I was just nervous...so nervous infact that I thought about not going... But that was only for a bit, I knew it would break Goth's heart if I didn't go. He was so excited...I couldn't not go... But did Geno really think that I wouldn't go?..
"Geno I wouldn't not go just because I was nervous."
"I know that, I just..."
Geno again looked at the floor like it was his bestfriend, and whimpered quietly
"I didn't want you to be anxious the whole time...and when I told Life she wanted to help... So we thought that-"
"Geno..."
I knew he would be angry later but I pulled him into a hug. He stopped for a moment then hugged me back.
"I appreciate the thought, well no I love that you even thought to do this. And you shouldn't feel bad just because you're the only one that can touch me. It's just how it is, you knew that, and did this for me...so thank you."
"So...you like them?.."
"Hehe...there perfect Geno."
I gave him a little kiss on the head to help reassure him and let go. He looked up at me and smiled I smiled back, happy that he realized that I liked his gift. That's when Goth and PJ ran up to us, Goth screaming.
"Hey dads!"
We looked over and Geno beat me to the punch asking first.
"Ya baby what is?"
"Can PJ come with us to go look at school in...uh..."
"September?"
Goth jumped and nodded after I said that.
"Ya! He really wants to check it out- If it's Ok with you guys..."
"Goth you know he isn't going to school until next year right?"
"Ya dad I know but he still wanna go..."
Me and Geno looked at each other and he just smiled. He was in a surprisingly good mood so the answer was probably-
"If you want to go then we can take you. You just have to ask your parents first."
"Ok Mr.Geno we-"
"It's fine Jammy, if you really want to to go you can."
PJ's eyes lit up when Ink said that. Me and Geno looked at him and Ink continued.
"Besides it may be good for him to go see what school will look like."
"Thanks Daddy!"
PJ ran up and gave Ink a hug. I smiled happy that we weren't gonna see a child cry about going to school before he even has to go to school.
"You sure it's good-"
"It's fine Reaper besides I think we should let him go school before he starts to argue that he doesn't want to."
"Haha ya good point..."
"Well anyways-"
"Dads can we do the cake now?"
Goth cut off Geno before he could finish with a totally different topic. But still we both just smiled and said.
"Sure"
...
I only thought of this day because of what day it was today... I was standing outside of the school we were soon to send Goth to. PJ was with us because he didn't change his mind. Goth was jumping around with him, both excited. And I was just a bit nervous even with the gloves. Geno noticed and smiled reassuringly...but even after he did that the only thing I could think was-
"This was gonna be an interesting day..."
