Chapter 20

The Time Jacklyn got her hair dipdyed

        Jacklyn walked out of her last class on friday, health, and then went onto her bus. She was so excited. Today was the day she got to get her hair dip dyed! So Jacklyn sat next to Charisma and they talked about their day and how smart they are, and then blasted kidz bop on their i pod touches that their parents bought for them on their music library. It was finally Jacklyn's stop, so she said bye to Charisma and jumped down the bus steps. Then she met her mamí on the corner and her mom put on her dora helmet. 

"Let's go to the store!" Jaclyn's mom told her as they jumped on their family's bicycle with four seats on it for each member. They had a hard time pedaling since there were only two people on a four person bike. 

Panting, Almost hitting three pedestrians and a stop sign, they made it to their local stop and shop. The two girls went inside and bought some guava.

"Mamí can we PLLEASSEE get my hair dye now??" Jacklyn looked at her mom as she was smelling the guava's to make sure they were ripe enough.

"Sure lets go." They walked into the drink section.

"I heard from my friend Charisma that the best way to do this is to do it with kool aid." Jacklyn said while throwing the gallon sized container of kool aid into the cart of red kool aid.

"Ok den." Her mom looked around. "Let's go into the bathroom to dye your hair since we don't have a bathroom at home." Jacklyn's mom told her.

"Ok mamí." Jacklyn replied.

        They both went into the stop and shop's bathroom as they went into a stall. Her mom poured the whole gallon of kool aid into the toilet.Jacklyn then stood and watched her mom pour it in.

"Ok. Now put your head in the toilet so it will work."

Jacklyn sat on the floor and lightly dipped the bottom of her hair into the toilet. But then, suddenly her mom slipped and hit the handle that flushes the toilet with Jacklyn's hair still soaking in it.

"AHHHHH MAMÍ MAKE IT STOP ITS EATING MY HAIR AH HELP." She screamed as the toilet was trying to flush her hair while making unusual gurgling sounds and spitting red water all over the stall.

Her mom panicked, what were they going to do! She started to kick the toilet and it came to a complete stop and spit out Jackelyn's hair out.

"Oh look it ripped some of your hair out, but it worked.." Jacklyn's mom said.

"OH THANK YOU MAMÍ IT LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL!" She said as she danced around the grocery store's bathroom.
