Presentation day

The next morning, Manami woke up with a spiral in her stomach.

She made it a big deal to be seen as a strong and confident woman to others, but she secretly craved and desired for validation anywhere she could get it. She was terrified her friends would say her presentation was bad or her hero costume is ugly.

She picked up her poster off the desk and rolled it up. She barely had an appetite so after she got ready she headed straight to class.

Just her luck. Her dad was already in class. She ignored him and went straight to her seat.

"Hey Manami," Aizawa greets her.

Manami ignores his gesture and sits silently reading over her project.

"Manami, it's rude to ignore others," He says.

Still nothing.

"Manami Aizawa, respond when your father is talking to you," He instructs.

"Father? More like a sperm donor," Manami finally says.

"Oh come on," Aizawa drags, "You can't still be bothered by that."

"Well I am," She responds.

"God you're just like your mom, always bitchin' about things from the past," Aizawa complains and stacks paper.

"And then you wonder why I hate you," Manami rolls her eyes.

"Say what you want but where is your mother right now?" He asks.

Manami chews the inside of her cheek and goes back to pretending he doesn't exist.

The class starts pouring in and everyone heads to their seat.

"We're going to present in order by LAST name," Aizawa announces, "So Manami, you're up first."

Manami shook her head and rolled her eyes.

"So this is me... As a.. hero," Manami says shyly, "Umm my hero name is Virago."

Whispers could be heard from around the room. Manami swallowed hard before continuing.

"My birthday is June 4th and I'm 16 years old.. uhm, my favorite colors are red and black," She says as she hold up the poster."

"You got this Manami!" Uraraka says from her seat.

This weirdly gave Manami more confidence.

"My quirks are Teleportation and bandages. I can teleport absolutely anything anywhere with a single thought and dispense bandages from my palms. The drawback to my quirks are that I get headaches from creating larger teleport voids."

Everyone awes.

"My costume is a dark red back drape skirt with black leather and steel straps connecting the front. I also have a black lace top with black tights and leather boots," She says and places a picture under the camera.

"HOLY SMOKES!!" Denki yells. Mineta's nose starts to bleed, again, and Kirishima turns red.

Manami suddenly remembers who she is and gains all her confidence back.

"I'm 4'9 and 80 pounds. I have black hair and hazel eyes," She says.

Mineta runs to the front heavily drooling, "Okay now give us your measurements!"

Manami looks at him with a blank stare.

"I can measure for you!" He says and pulls out a measuring tape.

"Measure this dickwad!" Manami yells and punches him in the face.

Mineta flies across the classroom with a few teeth less than he had this morning.

"Anyways," Manami says as she starts to continue, "Some of my special moves are Aphrodite Embrace, Omni Projection, and Jade Charm."

Hagakure raises her hand, "So like, they sound amazing but what exactly do they do?"

"Why would I expose my moves before you've seen them?" She responds, "A perk of joining late is that during practice battles I can catch you guys by surprise."

"Oh come on! We're your classmates!" Hagakure whines, "We aren't evil villains!"

"Then you can wait," Manami smiles, "Moving on!"

She hears half the class sigh. Does she care? Not one bit. If we can have even the slightest advantage, she'll take it. Realistically speaking, she's at least 10 times more advanced than Todoroki who is top of the class.

"Here's my small biography. I grew up in Tokyo but moved to Musufatsu when I was around 5 to further develop my hero abilities without making trainers and judges travel so far. It was also much much cheaper to live here than Tokyo. My dad is Shota Aizawa, Pro Hero Eraser head and my mom is.. umm.." She stops to look to Aizawa.

All her life she was told that her parents had to be a secret. Manami was the result of a sticky situation. They had all lived together for Manami's sake but each adult had their own separate houses to take other people to. The only people she knew that knew of her parents were Present Mic and Midnight along with a few other pro heroes.

Aizawa shook his head 'no' at  Manami. She looked back at the class and froze up.

"Oh come on, now you have Mommy issues?" Bakugo laughed.

"You're one to talk," Kaminari sat up in his seat.

"WHAT'S THAT PIKACHU?" Bakugo turned to yell at him.

"Oh come on man you know how that makes me feel:(" Kaminari pouted.

"That's enough boys!" Aizawa glared, "Move on Manami."

"Umm right," She says and clears her throat.

"I started training when I first went into preschool around 3 years old. I learned how to put someone in a chokehold before I could spell my name. I had someone of the highest class tutors and yet I'm still almost as dumb as Kaminari," Manami coughed.

Everyone laughed, she enjoyed he comedic relief.

"I was homeschooled until this semester when I transferred into UA in the middle of the year. That's it," Manami says and puts her paper down.

Everyone claps and she goes back to take a seat.

"Very nice. Next is Aoyama," Aizawa says and falls back asleep.

After class, Todoroki went up to Manami's desk.

"I need your help," He says.

"With what?" She asks.

"A girl," He whispers.

Manami smiles, "Is it Momo?"

"SHHHHH" Todoroki hushed her.

Manami starts laughing.

"I want to ask her to the dance," Todoroki explains as they walk to the dorms.

"THAT'S SO CUTE!" Manami exclaims. She gives Todoroki a huge hug and a smile forms on his face, "YOU GUYS WOULD BE SO CUTE TOGETHER!!"

"You think so?" He grins.

"I know so!" She exclaims.
