Chapter 8

Ella's P.O.V

Entering the house I run towards my Mom and tell her everything about how a wonderful day it was! After discussing things with my mom, I go to my room and freshen up.
I decide to take a break from my school work as I don't want to ruin this day. So I ask my mom if we could just have a family movie night together. And she said Yes!
In the kitchen, I make some popcorn in the cooker and mom is making some choco chip cookies.
Meanwhile, I check out some disks and search for a good drama. But I am not able to find a good one. Ughhh.
I just switch on the television and call out my Mom, Dad and Lucy and we watch 'Home Alone' which is already airing on the television.

We all enjoy the movie with laughter and spend lovely time with each other after a long time.

After the movie is over we all sit on the dining table and have our dinner peacefully.
After I finish eating my food, I go up to my room and I dial Veronica's number.

She picks up the call immediately.

"Hey, Veronica. What are you doing? Did you have your dinner?." I ask her in a sweet tone.

"Hey, Ella. Nothing yeah I was just reading a novel and yes I had my dinner. What about you?." She asks in a soft tone.

"Yes, Veronica I just had my dinner and came up to my room and decided to call you. Aah so will you come tomorrow at my place to complete school projects? I am planning to skip school tomorrow and complete all the school work so that I can submit it on Friday. Are you willing to come?." I ask her in a curious tone.

"Okay, Ella. I dont mind I'll come at your place tomorrow so we can complete all the assignments and projects. Ugh but I am so bored to write all of them. But nevermind thank you for asking. I'll be there tomorrow. Don't worry." She replies in a pleasant voice.

"Okay Veronica, see you tomorrow. Goodnight. Bye." I tell her in a delightful tone.

"Yeah, see you." She replied.

And I hung up the call.

After talking with Veronica on the call I quickly curl up in my blanket on the bed and just sleep.

Next morning.

I wake up around 8'o clock in the morning. Oh god its so late! Uff. I get up from my bed and run to the washroom and take a shower and freshen up.
As I'll be staying at home today I decide to wear black color pajamas and a hot pink color crop top. I style my hair into a high ponytail.

After getting ready I go downstairs and have my breakfast.

"Mom, Veronica is going to come at our place today. We both will be completing the projects together in my room. We have to submit it by tomorrow." I tell her in a loud voice as she is working in the kitchen.

"Okay dear, no problem. You guys just concentrate on your school stuff I wont disturb you both." She says while shouting from the kitchen.

"Okay, Mom." I replied.

After having my breakfast, I run to my room upstairs to keep notes and important things ready before Veronica comes so that we can start immediately and not waste our time.

As I am just sitting idle in my room after keeping all the things in place I dial Paul's number.

Paul picks up after two to three rings.

"Hey, Paul. How are you doing? Are you at school?." I ask him in a polite way. I continue saying,"I won't be coming to school today as I have to submit my assignments and projects tomorrow. So I'll complete it today." I tell him in a soft tone.
