I walked the hall before I sensed a presence in front of me. "Illyana." I stated. "Impressive. How did you know?" She asked. "It doesn't take me long to pick up on the scents of people around me." I explained. "How long have you been blind?" She asked. "A couple of weeks." I answered. I sensed her move closer. I felt a small gust of wind to my right before I instinctively brought my hand into the air and caught a wrist. Seconds later, I sensed something else. I brought my left hand down and blocked an incoming kick. The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end before I turned around and backflipped away, evading an attack from behind. "You can teleport." I pointed out. "Among other things, Sightless." She voiced before a brief gust of wind crawled over my skin. My brows twitched as I waved my fingers. I snapped my head up before jumping into the air and flipped mid-air before landing on my left knee.

"For a blind man...you sure know how to defend yourself. Are you sure you're blind?" Illyana asked before the sound of a metallic clinking sounded in my eardrums. Soon after a constant hum of energy buzzed in my head. The humming noise reminded me of lightsabers from Star Wars. I put my feet together before taking in a breath. "Illyana!" A woman shouted. "What do you think you are doing?!" Dr. Reyes exclaimed. "Seeing what he could do." Illyana answered. "And if you had killed him?" She asked. "Well, then one less patient you have to deal with." Illyana sounded before the hum ended. "Sometimes testing the limits of someone that doesn't know what they are capable of...gets people killed. And it's always by the hand of the one tested." I announced before brushing passed Illyana heading down the hall.

ILLYANA

I couldn't help thinking about what Ryan told me. What has he gone through? Surely, he has gone through more than just what he told us. I snuck down the corridor before hearing Ryan inside his quarters. "Forgive me...grandfather. I haven't spoken to you in a while." I heard him say. "I never got to say goodbye...I never got the answer to my question. And now...given my current circumstances...I never will." Ryan whispered. I turned away from the door before clenching my jaws and walking away down the hall.
