About Time?

Fontaine POV:

I woke up as outside became lighter, we were surfaced near Midway Atoll and the sun was rising. Then I realised there was another body in bed with me, shit! I must have fallen asleep in Finn's bed when I went to talk to him while he was asleep, I got sidetracked and somehow ended up lying down when I was off in thought. I couldn't stop thinking about yesterday and how I just left him in the kitchen, I felt really guilty so I went to apologise. I found him asleep and couldn't wake him, so I just began rambling. I said I was falling for him, and I know he heard that part, because when I cuddled into him he responded, for some reason I didn't mind though.

I went to leave, I had to before anyone noticed. I really didn't want to, I felt so happy and comfortable in his arms. But none the less no one could find out. So I attempted to remove myself from his arms without waking him, my attempt failed. He groggily opened his eyes.

"Why are you going?" He asked in an 'I just woke up' way.

"It's morning and I have to go to my room."

"Ok Princess, and thank you." he said, lifting up his arm so I could go.

Finn POV:

*time skip, it's now 11am*

The sonar suddenly sounded in the Bridge, we all turned to look at the screen and saw another sub steadily approaching.

"The Dark Orca" Ant, Fontaine and I all said in unison.

Then the screen changed, Dad was calling. His face flashed up.

"Arrrr, give me back me boy Nektons!"

"Righto Hammerhead." Will said before ending the call.

We all left for the moon pool, Kaiko opened it and Dad and Maddy swam in, along with 3 crewmates. The 5 of them got out of the moon pool and I walked over to Maddy.

"Good now, Smiling Finn, take the..." Dad started.

"Aronnax, not this time Cap'n." I butt in. As I grab Maddy's arm and pull her into the water. Just before I dive I steal a look back at Fontaine and smirked.

Fontaine POV:

After the pirates are gone I return to my room. I was playing my guitar, then I began thinking... The Dark Orca Pirates are some of the most wanted thieves in the world, why don't we turn them in? I sprinted to the Bridge where I found Mum, Dad and Ant all standing around the Ephemychron.

"Mum, Dad, I have a serious question." I puffed.

"What is it Fontaine?" Dad asks questioningly.

"The Dark Orca Pirates are on the top of the World Oceans Authority wanted list, yeah?"

"Yes they are..." Mum responds.

"Well why haven't we handed them over?"

"Uhhhh, that might take a bit of explaining, Kaiko, this is on you." Dad says.

"There are multiple reasons... the first being that Hammerhead has kids, and those kids would go into foster care on land. The second is that this way you can socialise and it's always fun to beat Hammerhead." Mum says beginning to laugh.

"Yeah, we have stopped him getting his hands on anything good." Ant says, both excited and laughing. "How do we do that?"

"Well, we have been hiding ancient-looking treasures across the oceans, then planting the maps that we make for them so Hammerhead seems satisfied and doesn't get too greedy. The other way we do it is with help from Finn and Danny Boy, they will both occasionally report to us if they think Hammerhead is onto anything big." Dad explains."

"But why do they report to you? Wouldn't they also want a big lot of..." I put on a Pirate accent, "treasure."

"Finn doesn't like stealing or being a Pirate, he has to because of his dad. And Danny Boy likes a quaint life, and hates change, if they found a heap of treasure then that would all be over." Mum explains. 

"But what would happen if they did get caught? Would you help them?" Ant asks.

"Well we couldn't do much about Hammerhead, or the crew as they are adults and would be put in jail." Dad answers.

"Finn and Madeline?" I ask.

"Maybe we would take them in, I wouldn't let them be passed from house to house in the foster-care system, they would never fit in." Mum says in her motherly way.

Finn POV:

*time skip 3 days*

Dad thinks he's found something big, Danny Boy has alerted the Nektons.
