Maya looked how both Riley and Auggie were reading a book while she went through the long list of things that she needed to get before they start school while Josh was slowly getting ready to go back to Philadelphia.
"Mom wants you back quite early," Cory said as Maya looked at the two Matthew men.
"She does. Irritating actually but yeah. Going to survive your daughter?" Josh asked as Cory nodded.
"Hey, Maya. Can you can I talk quickly?" Josh asked as Maya nodded.
"Yeah sure," Maya said as she and Josh went into Riley's room.
Sitting down Maya looked at Josh knowing the way he has treated her lately has been different from how he usually treated her but she also didn't complain about it.
"What did you want to talk about?" Maya asked.
"Are you going to be okay? With Riley and everything. I could see the last few weeks you have been down," Josh said as Maya bite her lip.
"I'll be fine," Maya said.
"Sing something for me before I leave. Then I can hear how good you are," Josh said as Maya looked at him. "Please?" Josh asked as Maya smiled grabbing the guitar next to her.
"You've asked for it," Maya said smiling.
