Chapter 7: Allysun meets Salem

Kyle and I were out looking for some more people to join our group when we found a familiar young man, passed out on the sidewalk in front of an old school. I saw the young man, laying on the ground.... And I could tell from the lip rings that it was him. Salem.

Salem and I went to grade school together when all of the 5th graders had recess with the 3rd graders.... We got along well... We were good friends, but then one day he disappeared and after that I never saw him again. I remember when he got his lip rings in the 5th grade because that's when he left me to be with the cool people...

I ran over to Salem with tears flowing down my face rapidly. 'Salem!' I thought to myself as I heard Kyle groan of jealousy. 'Control!' I said to myself, doing my ancient mind control spell. My eyes turned purple as I approached Salem, with purple tears, ending up being purple streaks on my face.

I bent down and shoved my satchel in front of me. I realized that there was a zombie really far away, just because of the soft wind blowing and the smell of rotting flesh and death. I knew that I had to keep that zombie away from the three of us.

I stood up, and called on my shield bubble. While I was doing this my hair sparked blue and there was a ring of fire around my shield bubble once it appeared. "SWEEEET!! YES!" I screamed reaching out for Kyle to give me a high five, and then receiving the lonely wanted high five at least 20 seconds later.

I bent back down and uncapped the needle, praying that this will be easier on him than me from the pain. I checked his pulse and stabbed him in the arm. I injected the serum into his muscle tissue and his back arched. I quickly pulled the needle out, crying. With blue and hot pink tears flowing down my face I sat on him, making him go flat.

Tears ran down his face and then he opened his eyes. They were as beautiful as always. He gave me a smirk then said, "Hey there chicken little." I gave a growl saying, now isn't a good time, with my eyes.

I laid down on his chest and started to cry, leaving pink and blue stains on his shirt. "Get off, man! Where are we?" Salem said sitting up. "WOA WHAT'S WITH THE RING OF FIRE!" He yelled, scared. I covered his mouth with my hands.

"Don't attract attention stupid. It's the zombie apocalypse, See that zombie over there?" I said taking one hand off of his mouth and pointing to a zombie that was running over here. 'Damn forgot to put the soundproof shield up'

" WOA WHAT THE FUCK! ALLYSUN DO SOMETHING! CHOP ITS HEAD OFF OR SOMETHING!" Salem said, unaware that he was pushing me into Kyle.

I started to laugh uneasily hard, "HAHHAHAHAHA! Oh Salem." I said laughing hard and patting him on the back while pushing him away. "There is force field around the area in the form of a blue bubble. The zombies can see us but as long as you are close to me you will be fine. Go touch the force field. Go on!" I said smiling big, pushing Salem off the yellow rimmed sidewalk and up to his feet.

He stumbled to his feet from the push and slowly walked towards the force field. He studied the force field for a minute. "Dude, totally read his thoughts! He totally thinks you are a witch!" Kyle leaned in and whispered to me.

I started to laugh and I had to cover my mouth after I read his thoughts. As I saw Salem turn around I made a straight face. He sat down in front of Kyle and I.

My straight face disappeared and I laughed softly, "I'm not a witch Salem. I use enchantments and spells to save the human race. That force field over the safe zone over there," I said pointing and smiling, "Is me. I do spells on liquids and I had people pour the liquid around the safe zone. I'm basically a super hero." I said sassily flipping my hair. "So you should worship me now. Just kidding, don't. So, how have you been?"

"Um well I really don't know to be honest. I can't remember." Salem said, looking down and fiddling with his thumbs.

"Dumb ass." Kyle said. I shot him an angry look and he turned away.

"It's okay. We will find out what happened to you. Kyle are you ready to go back to the zone?"

"I didn't want to leave the zone. Miss Mulan insisted that I go with you."

"Shut up Kyle." I said, glaring at him with the "Don't test me right now" look.

"How are we going to get there?" Salem said, jumping at he end because of the zombie banged on the glass.

"Teleport." I said, smiling. I looked at my red eyes in my reflection of the field and knew I was prepared. I raised my arms and closed my eyes, summoning all of my energy into my thoughts, from my surroundings. "Summon around me, wind, rain, water," I opened my eyes, "Fire!" And after I said that, there was radiating heat coming from my soft, delicate hair, and sparks came flying from my hair.

Kyle looked at Salem, and Salem looked at me in awe. I abruptly put my arms down across my chest, with my hands touching my shoulders, and I teleported us to the hospital inside the safe zone.

"ALLYSUN!" Mulan shouted, "WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PUT US IN DANGER?! HUH?! You realize every time you use one of your stupid powers you put us in danger?"

"Sorry Mulan. I love you!" I shot a wink at her.

"Who is that behind you?"

"Kyle." I replied

"And?"

I sighed, "Salem. I found him wandering around."

"WHAT?! THE GUY THAT BULLIED ME?!" Mulan said, thrusting her fist into her open palm.

"Yes. No, no, no, Mulan. You aren't allowed to touch him!" I bounced her back with a thrust of my palm and pressure from the room.

"Hey! That hurt!" Mulan said, rubbing her head. Kyle started laughing. I turned around and right hooked him in the jaw.

"Fuck!" Kyle said, now with a bleeding lip.

"Love yah, Hun." I said smiling. I lifted Salem up onto the hospital bed and shoved the IV's into his arm.

"There yah go." I said.
