Chapter 9

Brandon's POV

We were almost done with dinner. When i hear sirens in front of the house. We all walk out but the ambulance is actually at CC's house.

They take a bloody CC out of the house in a bed. Her mom's following her hysterically crying. No no no no.

I run to her, i don't give a fuck what they think. My parents run behind me then Jake. Her face is filled with cuts and bruises and blood, her arm and leg look broken.

It's a horror show. "What happened?!" I yell over everyone.

Her mom shakes as they lift little flower up into the ambulance. "I-i got home...an....and she was at the bottom of the stairs i-in a pool of blood. I thought she was dead but she has a f...faint pulse."

She got on the ambulance. I run inside her house to get her car keys. But i see the blood.

How?

She was fine.

What the hell happened?

We were just laughing 2 hours ago.

Until i....

Until i left her with JAKE!!!

I run back outside, the paramedics are gone.

That's why she doesn't leave him. That's why she flinches all the time. That's why she is always jumpy. That's why she does EVERYTHING he says. HE FUCKING HIT HER!!!!

HE ABUSES HER.

I go straight to Jake and punch him "YOU DID THIS!!!" He was in the ground with the first punch. "IT WAS YOU!!!" I punch him again.

"Brandon!!!" Mom yells.

Mom starts crying and dad was trying to hold me back but im to big for him.

I stop and get up "COME ON BIG MAN" a pull him by the shirt. "YOU FEEL THOUGH HITTING HER?" He punches me in the face and i punch him in the stomach. He falls to the ground.

"Brandon stop!!" Dad yells.

"HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HITTING HER???" He gets up to punch me but missed.

"He wouldn't do that!!!" Mom yells

I punch him again, his face is so messed up. "HOW LONG!!!" I punch him again he turns to me fucking laughing.

His laughing.

"ALMOST SINCE THE BEGINNING!!!" He looks proud. "Nooooo!" Mom falls to the ground crying and dad stops trying to stop me.

"You know, she is such a good girl. She just takes it" He smiles with blood on his teeth. I push him to the ground. I hear sirens again but this time it's from a cop car.

They pushed me to the ground and hand cuff me. I let them, it's better this way. They see me as the aggressor.

And i am.

"No no no stop!!!!!!" Mom runs to me i need to stop them. Dad takes one of the cops to the side. I don't know what he is saying. They walk to us while Jake is still in the ground.

The officer talking with my dad walks to me. "let him go John, we are taking this one in." he points to Jake.

He was still smiling.

He looks insane.

I thought for sure Dad was going to pin it on me. I hug him. "Thanks" he hugs me back.

They we're putting him in the cop car when he turns to me. "tell CC i will be seeing her" They push him in.
