He stared at me, with a blank expression on his face.

"You want me, to stay with you . . .?" He stood still, waiting for an answer.

"Y-yes," I diverted my eyes somewhere else, trying to avoid awkward eye contact, "I might start having horrible dreams again so I think having someone there to help before it gets too bad would be a good idea . . ."

There was silence for a few moments before he started talking again.

"Oh, well if that's the case then sure. I'd be happy if I could be of assistance to you."

I nodded and gave him a quick smile before he approached my door and I opened it for the both of us. We entered the dark room, it had a chill air that made me shiver for a quick moment before I closed the door. I approached the light switch and flicked it on, the room suddenly filling with light from the ceiling.

I took off my shoes and walked over to my bed, instantly collapsing. Even though I had practically slept the entire day, I was still very tired. I heard Kiibo's footsteps approach the bed and I looked up at him.

"You can just lay down on the other side," I told him, pointing my hand to one side of the bed, "we should have enough room for the both of us."

He nodded, and I got up, lifting the covers as we both lied back down. There was a few moments of silence as I stared up towards the ceiling, seeing him do the same out of the corner of my eyes.

"Kiibo," I started talking quietly, "how did you find me? I mean, did nobody else see me?" I asked.

"I'm not sure if others had seen you before I found you, perhaps they did but did not want to bother you, but everyone else had already gone either to sleep or just to their dorms before I found you. I didn't hear anything from you so I decided to go look for you. That's pretty much it, up until you woke up."

"Oh . . . thank you for coming to get me, Kiibo," I talked quietly, as I became sleepier and sleepier, "sleeping on the ground the entire night would not have been fun." I giggled quietly. I saw him smile, for a split second he hid his face in his collar again. I turned to face him, and started to slowly close my eyes.

"Goodnight Kiibo."

"Goodnight Shuichi."

It was quiet, I could hear myself breath. The room wasn't as cold anymore, and the bed felt more warmer, not too warm, but a comfortable temperature. I felt at ease knowing there was someone with me tonight so in the case I did have nightmares again I wouldn't have to wake up by myself. I opened my eyes again, gazing at Kiibo. He was still, a soft breathing escaping him. I smiled, feeling more comfortable. I started to tiredly rethink about all the interactions we've had together since we got thrown into this situation.

Happiness.

That's what those interactions had brought me. A sense of joy, maybe not a big sense, but it was still there. My heart started to feel warm, and my body felt rid of stress and all the negative emotions I've been feeling. This place may be horrible, but at least I'm getting to spend it with someone I like to spend time with.

Without thinking, I slowly wrapped my hand around one of Kiibo's, before I soundly fell asleep.

I felt myself slowly start to wake up, my body warm and comfortable in my bed. For once, I wasn't in a panicked state after sleeping through the night, it felt nice to finally be able to sleep normally. I continued to lie in bed, trying to remember if I dreamed about anything. In all honesty, I can't recall if I even dreamed. It was still better than constant nightmares. I suddenly felt something touching my hand. I opened my eyes and saw someone laying next to me. The memories of last night all started to rush back into my mind, making my heart beat faster. I unwrapped my hand from Kiibo's and stared at him for a few moments. His body was still, his face looked smooth and shiny.
