TW - Death

--•--

This trial had been going on for a while, but we managed to get closer and closer to solving it. Maki, Kaito and Himiko were all in the clear, which would be a problem as they were all 3 main suspects if there was no one else . . . but there was. Kirumi.

As new evidence and information was being revealed all the clues pointed back at Kirumi. It did not help that she already had a target on her back before all the new information came out, as the the black scrap of fabric that was found near the pool area was confirmed to be apart of her gloves by the maid herself. Accusations and arguments continued in the trial room, the tension was simmering like water in a boiling pot, it was not a pretty site.

"Kirumi, just admit it already, you killed Ryoma!" Kokichi said, "All the evidence points to you, and you're the only suspect we've had that hasn't been cleared yet!" I looked around, Maki once again had a murderous glare on her face as she listened to what Kokichi was saying. Kirumi was still standing at her podium, displaying a completely calm manner, it was honestly impressive how calm she appeared to be despite the fact she was getting accused of murder with a lot of evidence to back it up.

Kirumi took a breathe, inhaled and exhaled and she started to speak.
"I fear . . . that you are correct, Kokichi."

The room fell silent, everyone looked over to Kirumi, many emotions were expressed on their face. Anger, shock, disbelief. There was now a sickening atmosphere in the trail room, nobody wanted to say anything, it was just too much to process. Maki looked the most shocked, a mix of sadness and anger was slightly shown on her face as she stared at Kirumi.

"What the fuck did you just say . . ." Miu spoke under her breathe, I could sense the anger in her voice.

This was not gonna be good.

"So you hit him upside the head with a fucking stick?!" Miu boomed. Ever since Kirumi confessed to her murder she was getting bombarded by questions and screaming classmates.

"Ryoma said so, all of you guys knew how much he didn't care about living, I was simply just completing a request, which is what I am supposed to do."

"SO YOU KILLED HIM??" Tenko yelled.

"Correct." She replied.

"Well how did you get him in the tank?!" Kaito exclaimed.

"A few steps, really." She started, "I had knocked him out with a big stick, I then handcuffed him and went over to the bathrooms, there I drowned him. It was a bit of a struggle as he regained conscious but eventually I managed to fully kill him. When that was done with all I need to do was transport the body somewhere else . . . the tank in the gymnasium."

"Wait a minute . . . how did you get him all the way down into the gym? Surely if you dragged his wet body from the third floor it the first you would've been caught." I asked the maid.

"That was the harder part. Shuichi, I'm sure you had notice that the window in the gym is beneath a window on the third floor. Those two windows connect across the pool area, correct?" She asked. I nodded and she kept talking.

"I led Ryoma's body to that window on the third floor, and I threw a rope over it, connecting the rope to the gym window. Then there was the remaining part of how I was gonna get him down the rope. I used the inner tube that you had found and slid both myself and Ryoma down the rope until we reached the gym window."

"Wait, but how did you manage to slide down the rope without damaging your hand? Surely you would've gotten a severe burn!" Tsumugi asked.

"Quiet obvious if you think about it, I knew going down bare handed wouldn't work, but lucky for me I wore gloves. I take it now you can guess how that scrap of fabric got ripped from my gloves. After that all I had to do was stuff his body into the tank and wait until the next day for the magic show." Kirumi finished speaking. No one could say anything. I looked over at Maki, she was looking down on the floor, I swear I could see her eyes starting to water.
