!TW for death!
!Spoilers for trial 2!

--•--

We entered the trial room for the second time since we had arrived, I gazed at the extremely high ceiling and suddenly remembered the memory of Kaede getting pulled up into the ceiling before her final moments awaited her. I felt awful, from the memories of last trial and the thoughts of the upcoming events that were waiting for us.

All of us walked to our assigned podiums and stood there, awaiting for Monokuma to give us the "ok" to start the trial. I looked around at the podiums, three were different from the rest. Instead of our classmates themselves, there stood 3 portraits of our deceased peers. It was uncomfortable seeing their pictures just staring at the rest of us, as the podiums were organized in a circular fashion, so that we could all gaze at the others without any effort.

Monokuma, like the last trial, was seated at a thrown, with the Monokubs standing beneath him.

"Alright folks! You may now begin the trial!" The bear said loudly. I sighed.

The person who murdered Ryoma, the one who cut his life short, the one who was responsible for him getting devoured by Piranhas is in this very trial room, along with the rest of us. Yes, that's right, a cold blooded murderer that took a life for whatever reason was disguised. I have to catch them, I have to bring justice to Ryoma, and I have to fulfil my promise to Kaede.

I stopped thinking and started listening to everyone's input.

"I think Himiko is suspicious!" Angie commented.

"Nyeh?!" Himiko seemed surprised.

"Hey! Angie, how can you just accuse Himiko like that?" Tenko angrily asked.

Angie looked over at Tenko, "I am just telling everyone what Atua is telling me. He is using his knowledge to lead us on to the correct path of survival!"

Angie's bubbly and optimistic personality quickly disappeared, and a dark and threatening aura started to surround her.

"You quite lucky he is helping us, who knows what would happen if he decided to unleash his wrath on us." She said.

It was really odd, even kind of uncomfortable to see her get like this.

"I don't care! I'll still protect Himiko!" Tenko replied.

"I must say, Angie does have a point. It was Himiko's magic show where Ryoma's body was found after all." Kirumi spoke. Kiibo nodded in agreement.

"Why are you all ganging up on her?!" Tenko cried.

"We aren't ganging up, we're just stating the facts . . ." Tsumugi replied to her.

Things were getting heated in here, Tenko looks like she's going to freak out sooner or later. I need to think, could Himiko really be able to kill Ryoma? He was in the tank at her magic show but I'm not sure if she would be able to take him down . . .

"Well . . . I was wondering, does everyone who wasn't in the gym for the magic show have an alibi? I think we could narrow down our suspects if we speak . . ." I asked.

"Well, who wasn't in the gym at the time?" Tenko asked.

". . . everybody was there, besides Kaito and Maki . . ." Kiibo answered softly.

Everyone's gaze suddenly shifted to Kaito and Maki, Kaito jumped and Maki glared as everyone gazed at them. I quickly looked around, some look nervous, I could only assume they were starting to suspect both of them. Others looked angry, I assumed they too suspected Kaito and Maki, but with much more anger and disliking.

"What?! Why are you all looking at me and Maki??!" Kaito yelled loudly. Maki remained silent, standing in her assigned podium. I'm not sure if it was the level of stress that was going on or I was just imagining things but for a split second I swear I saw a shadow cover Maki's face, making her eyes glow a bright ruby red. It was a face I could only describe as death, hatred and harshness visibly showed.

"Wellll," Kokichi quickly giggled, "you two are the only ones who weren't at the scene of the crime including Ryoma, but it doesn't look like we can ask him for an alibi, now does it?" He had a sneaky smile on his face, as usual he was stirring the pot.

"So?! That doesn't mean we killed the poor guy!" Kaito shrieked. I could feel the intense stress that was coming from him, sweat was starting to quickly cover his body as his eyes grew in fear, his heart loudly and quickly racing. Even with the accusations and, as before Maki didn't say a single word, continuing to stand at her podium and gaze at the rest of the group.

"Well, yes, Kaito and Maki were not at the magic show, however that certainly isn't enough evidence to paint one of them, or maybe even both, as the blackened. For all we know one of us could've been the killer." Kirumi spoke up. I noticed Kaito start to look relieved. Not just Kaito, but Maki's eyes looked less intense and the shadow that and creeped across her face had lightened up. Of course, she still looked colder, but it seemed as she calmed down at hearing Kirumi's words.

"Yes! I agree! We mustn't forget what Atua has told me about Himiko!" Angie piped up.

"What's it with you and accusing Himiko?!" Tenko yelled at Angie. Whether Tenko wanted to admit or not, Angie did have a valid point. After all, it was Himiko's magic show and she was in the tank moments before Ryoma ended up in there. She knew how the trick worked.

"Will you shut up you flat chested whore?" Miu yelled at Tenko, earning a disgusted look from the girl.

"I say we vote all 3 of those motherfuckers! They're all way too shady and I'm not liking it one bit." She continued to speak.

"I'm sorry, do you want all of us to get brutally executed you sex obsessed hog?" Kokichi retaliated. Miu whimpered in defense.

"No? Yes, that's what I thought. Anyway, do you have any input or information you want to share Mister Detective?" He looked at me with a mischievous smile on his face.

Mister Detective? What kind of nick name is that? But he is right . . . there is still more information I have to share.

"Well, Korekiyo spotted a pile of long rope when me and Kiibo had been investigating behind the water tank. There was also a peice of black fabric we found in the pool, I took a picture of it on my Monopad." I took out my Monopad and clicked on the photo of the single peice of black fabric that had been found in the pool and showed it to the others, everyone passing the Monopad around for a better look at the image.

"Hmmm, doesn't this fabric look familiar?" Tsumugi said softly, a puzzled look on her face.

"Really, I don't think I've seen it before . . ." Kiibo answered.

Kokichi started to giggle, in the process covering his mouth so he could stop. His was gazing at someone, or rather something. I followed his gaze and there it had stopped, right at Kirumi.

"Well," the purple haired boy started speaking with a smirk on his face, "why don't we ask Kirumi?"
