My (Almost) Perfect Life

Chapter 2

I rolled down my windows and turned on the radio. The warm morning sunshine permeated the car. I finally pulled into the school parking lot. I turned off the radio and and shifted the gear to park. I turned my dangling keys and pulled them out. As I hopped out of my car I saw my best friend Nicolette. "Nicolette!" I screamed across the parking lot. I saw her turn her light brown hair with carmel highlights fly in the wind as she turned head to see who was yelling at her. I locked my car and ran up too her. "Nicolette!" I say pulling her into a hug. "Margot! Can you believe it's the last day of being junior's?" Nicolette said. "This year has passed by so fast." I exclaimed as we walked into the crowded school. We walked down a couple hallways to get to our normal spot where we talk and hang out before school starts. "Hey guys!" me and Nicolette simultaneously say to our friends. "Margot!" Cameron says with a huge smile across his face. He hugs me tight and kisses me on the forehead. Nash and Nicolette watch awkwardly because they are the only single ones. Me and Cam have been trying to set them up for months. Nicolette always tells me that she would love to go out with Nash, but she doesn't believe me and Cameron. Nash really likes Nicolette, but she'll only believe it if it's coming out of Nash's mouth. "Ready for the party?!" Nash says breaking the silence. "What party?" Jack Johnson asks. "Bro we've been over this a million times, Nash is having a party at his place tonight in honor of the last day of being junior's." says Matt. "I'm exited!" I say. "Me too! And what time does the party start again?" Nicolette asks. "8:30" Nash says right before the bell rings. "See you guys later!" I say and we wave goodbye to go to our lockers then homeroom. Cameron kissed me on the cheeck before we went our separate ways. As I walked quickly to my locker and got out my school stuff(which we probably won't need) I noticed some unfamiliar guys standing a few feet away making really weird faces. There was a tall blond being incredibly loud. What he meant to be a whisper sounded like he wanted Europe to hear it. "Gosh she's so hot" he said. And the rest of the guys smiled and nodded their heads. I rolled my eyes and shut my locker. Cameron was standing right by behind my locker. I jumped a little,but he obviously noticed. "Did I scare you?!" he said sarcastically. "Yes!" I said as I rolled my eyes again. "This is going to be the last time I walk you to class this year." he says. I look straight into his chocolate brown eyes and realize how lucky I am to have him. "Still got next year!" I remind him. We finally got to my homeroom,art. "Bye, see you at lunch! he says kissing my cheeck. As I walk into class I spot my other friend Makayla sitting in the back of the class room on her phone. She sees me start to approach her and she yells "Margot! Hurry,hurry! I have important news!!" I sit down on the cold seat next to her. "What? What is it?!!" I impatiently ask her. "I GOT A BOYFRIEND!!" she shouts. I was so happy for her, she's one of those girl that never got a guy. "Awh! Congrats, who is he?" I ask. "Jack Gilinsky" she says with the biggest smile. I'm so shocked. He was was a big jump from her last boyfriend. Jack was so popular, to be honest I didn't know how he liked her but it didn't matter. I start to say something but I was interrupted by the loud bell indicating that homeroom has started. "Good morning class! Happy last day of school. I'm sure you all have great plans for the summer!" said Mr.Builker. After sitting in three more boring classes it was finally time for lunch. I saw Cam,Nicolette,and Nash walking in the hallway. "Cam! Nicolette! Nash!" We all started approaching each other. "So where do you guys want to go today?" Since every period is one hour long including lunch, we always go out somewhere. "Panera?" Cameron asked and gave me a wink because he knew it was my favorite. "Sure!" I said giving him a smile. We all agreed and walked out of the school. I grabbed my keys out of my backpack and hopped in. Me and Nicolette got in the front and Nash and Cam in the back. After the delicious lunch we went back to school. Four more hours until summer break I kept reminding myself. Last period I was really hoping for a High School Musical reanactment  but it didn't happen. As I packed up all my belongings from my locker, I spotted Nicolette sprinting towards me. "Hey,Margot!" she said exitedly. "Hey,do you want to come over at about 5 to my house so we can get ready for the party?" I asked her. "Ya sure!" She said as we walked out of the school and absorbed the sunshine. I got home and immediately jumped on my bed. Summer break I thought. Since I hadn't eaten or drank anything I decided to take a drive to Starbucks. "Hi welcome to Starbucks!" The barista said. "What can I get for you today?" she smiled. "May I have one Venti Carmel Ice Coffee please?" I said. "Your total comes to $4.95" I handed her the money and waited for my drink. When I got home it was 4:00. One more hour till Nicolette comes. I sat on my bed and watched Netflix while sipping my cold iced coffee waiting for it to be 5:00.  I heard a door bell ring and quickly jumped out of bed. I ran down stairs and looked through the peep hole to see who was at my doorstep. "Nicolette come in!" I say exuberantly. We rush up stairs and start getting ready. We both touched up our makeup, and re-curled our hair. I wore a skinny maroon romper from Abercrombie and a long black cardigan from Brandy Melville. I paired it with my Hollister flip flops. I heard my phone go off. Cameron texted me.

Cameron: Hey I'm already here with Nash. Take your time,text me when your on your way(;.

Margot: Okay!We'll probably be there around 9:30.

It was 8:30 and me and Nicolette were already ready. We hoped into my car and it was already dark outside. I forgot to text Cam back but it wasn't a big deal. We pulled up to what looked like a mansion. We got to the front door and all we could smell was liquor and teens. We walked inside and "OH MY GOSH. WHATTTTT IN THE WORLD IS HE DOING?!"
