My (Almost) Perfect Life

Chapter 5

I slept in till 11:30 the next morning. I rubbed my eyes and reached to grab my phone off of my nightstand. Cameron texted. I don't miss him that much. I'm over him,and at that moment I realized I had Jacob's number in my wallet. I got out of bed and found my wallet. I took the piece of paper with the 10 numbers on it and skipped downstairs for breakfast. I wasn't feeling like going to Starbucks but luckily my mom got me a chocolate chip bagel from Panera. I sat down at the kitchen table eating breakfast. I was hesitate to text him, but at the same time he seemed like a cool guy.

Margo: Hey it's Margot from McDonald's

I catiously waited for my phone to go with Jacob's name on my lock screen.

Jacob:Hey what's up?

Margot:I'm eating Panera hehe. You?

Jacob:Yumm,just chilling. I need to ask you something.

Margot: Ya what is it?

Jacob: Would you be interested in coming downtown today with me?

Margot: Yes of course sounds fun! What time?

Jacob: Great! How about 2:30?

Margot: Perfect, see you then!

Jacob:

Yay! I can't wait for this afternoon. It was already 12:25 and I needed to start getting ready. I ran up stairs and into the bathroom to shower. After that I put on my hot pink robe and headed for my vanity to put on my makeup. I heard a knock on my door. "Who is it?" I yelled. "Your dad." "Oke come in." he walked in with his work clothes on. "Margot,what are you doing?" he asked. "Getting ready to go downtown with a friend." I said cautiously. "Does your 'friend' have a name?" I thought I might as well tell him, he didn't care and I told my parents everything. "His name is Jacob." "Oh ok be safe. I'm going to work in 10 mintues but your mom is going out to eat with her friends so text her when you get home, ok?" "Okayyyy" I said trying to get him out so I could finish getting ready. "OK I love you." he said trying to be funny. "Love you too."

I finished getting ready. I checked my phone and it was 2:20. He should be here soon so I grabbed my purse,shoes,phone and house keys and waited in the family room. I got a text from Jacob saying that he needed my address. I waited 5 mintues then I heard him honking from the driveway. I ran out to see him with a rose in his hand and had the passenger door open. "My lady." he said like a gentleman. "Awh thanks!" I said hopping into the car. We drove away and we were soon in typical Chicago traffic. We going 20 mph and he leaned in for a kiss,I leaned in, and in two seconds I heard honking and a white mini van heading straight towards us. Then everything went black.
