After the movie me Cam and Nicolette went to my house to spend the night cause they didn't feel like going home. We were in my den watching Netflix and eating popcorn when I got a call from Brooklyn's mom. It may seem weird to have her number, but it was just for emergencies and stuff like that. "Who is that?" Cameron asked. "Brooklyn's mom." I say as swipe the arrow. "Hello?" I say into the phone. "M-Margot have you seen Brooklyn? I-Ive tried calling her and she said she'd be home by 9:30..." I checked my phone, it was 10:15. My heart sunk for a moment. "G-Guys Brooklyn's mom just said that Brooklyn didn't show up at her house." Nicolette shot up. I realized I was still on the phone with her mom because I could hear her screaming through it. "MARGOT IM CALLING THE COPS!" she screams and hangs up. I honestly didn't even know what to do. And I was surprised she didn't call the cops earlier but I figured I would leave it up to the cops but Cameron suggested we try to "retrace" her steps. We hopped into my car. Cam drove and Nicolette sat in the back. We went straight to where the funeral ceremony was. Me and Nicolette got out the flashlights we brought and Cam turned on
the bright headlights. Nicolette said she remembered the way she took to her house. So we started that way and I saw something shining back at me. "Cam stop the car!" He put it in park and me and Nicolette got out. I ran to where I saw it reflecting back. It was her phone. Nicolette looked up and pointed her flashlight straight ahead. "Is something wrong?" I asked confused. "Yeah...Cam com'on you need to come with us." Cam got out of the car and locked it right away. " Follow me." Nicolette said leading the way. We walked for about 5 minutes when I tripped over something. Cameron helped me up. "Oww." I said laughing. I don't even know what was so funny about that. But I always laugh when I get hurt. Nicolette picked up what I tripped over. We shined our flashlights on the sandals Brooklyn wore to the funeral. I heard cop cars suddenly speed past the road beside us. "Let's keep walking." Cameron suggests. We nodded and walked about ten more mintues until we reached a big pond. I walked up to the pond and fell to my knees.
