I knocked on the door and waited for ten seconds until I heard a click. Keith Overy opened the door.
"Woah, Mrs. Stern what're you doing here?" he asked.
"I'm debating on whether to call myself Mrs. Stern anymore. Listen I need a favor and you're the one person I know who can help me," I replied.
"Well I'm kind of busy with a cheerleader but you can have your go in fifteen," he offered.

Amelia picked me up yesterday, now I'm just sitting on my bed unpacking. I feel guilty though that I haven't told her that Tom and I...we...yeah…
As if she was psychic, Amelia came through the door.
"Hey, so let's hear the scoop," she said.
"What scoop?" I asked. She gave me a look.
"Dallas sweetie, what was Dallas like?" she asked.
"Oh, Dallas. Yeah it was cool. There were no tumble weeds so Dean lost a bet with Carson,” I replied.
"Well is that it? Nothing else happened?" she asked.
"Nope, just Dallas Texas. That's all it was Amelia," I replied. She nodded.
"Alright, well Tracy and Lenny are coming by for dinner tonight so be careful with what you say around them. They tend to talk," she said.
"I get what you mean. Hey, what did you do while I was gone? I mean you had the whole house to yourself," I asked. Amelia bit her lip, like she was nervous about something.
"Oh well, nothing really I just...had a few friends over for drinks and...No nothing really." she replied. I nodded, but I could tell she was hiding something.
"Okay, I'll just finish unpacking and be down in five minutes," I said.
"Alright, are you sure nothing happened in Dallas? You made up with Tom right?" she asked.
"Yeah we're cool,”
"Anything else happen?" Now I needed an excuse, and bad, so I shrugged.
"He asked me to prom," I said. Amelia chuckled.
"He wanted your permission to take you to prom?" she asked.
"I know right. He's so modest, it's so cute," I said.
