Chapter 9: Marriage

(@Spirit707 asked how Corey reacted to Colleen and Jake getting married, so that inspired me to reveal how the rest of the guys reacted 😂)

After Jake proposed to Colleen, she wasted no time telling her family.
She told Sid first, because he had told her about his proposal to Haley. He then spread it to literally EVERYONE in the band as fast as possible.

SID:
-SO FUCKING EXCITED
-obviously he's the DJ
-"Got a little bit of soft stuff, but the rest goes HARD" "Sid, I don't think people can mosh very effectively in dresses and tuxes"

COREY:
-almost passes out from shock
-"Are you sure about this, Col? You've only known each other for five months and-" "Dad!"
"...."
"I'm sure."
-spends every moment he can with her
-just to make sure he doesn't miss anything for his baby girl's special day
-...and to make sure he spends as much time with her as possible before-
-"Before she leaves," he thinks to himself.

MICK:
-hates the idea at first
-then he sees how excited she is
-and how in love she is with Jake
-and Mick thinks, "Maybe it'll be okay."

CHRIS:
-basically the same as Corey
-"Are you sure about him, Col?" "Chris, you're just as bad as Dad!"
-after she convinces him that she's sure, he's all in
-he even tries to convince her to let him bake her wedding cake
-"It's gonna be great, Col. Just picture it: chocolate cake with red buttercream frosting and-"
-"Wait, why red?" "Why not is more the question!"

SHAWN:
-does NOT approve
-goes along with it just to make Colleen happy
-it's not the wedding he doesn't approve of as much as the idea of Colleen being away from the family
-'It's not gonna be the same without her here,' he keeps thinking to himself

CRAIG:
-we all know that Craig's no chatterbox
-however, he doesn't mind helping choose decor for the wedding
-"What do you think, Unc? Silver or white for the tablecloths?"
*quiet pondering*
*points to silver tablecloth*
"That's what I was thinking!"
-he doesn't say much, but he does grow more and more worried as the date grows closer
-mostly for Corey, but also for the rest of the band
-his tendency for observing people led him to notice that everyone is unhappy

ALESSANDRO:
-pretty excited for Colleen
-however, like Craig, he does notice the various reactions of his fellow bandmates
-he wants to be happy for Colleen but he can't help but feel for the others, especially Corey
-he understood Corey's fierce protectiveness
-because he felt it too

JAY:
-PARTY TIME
-he loves any chance to gather a big group of people together to have fun
-his spirits are dampened a little when he sees how distressed Corey and the others are
-then he realizes...
-he doesn't exactly want Colleen to leave either

TORTILLA MAN:
-hasn't been with the band long
-doesn't even know Colleen or his fellow bandmates very well
-but he understands the situation well enough to realize that Colleen's absence will greatly affect everyone
-in the short time he's been with the band, he's seen how much of a positive impact she's had
-and how much everyone loves her (and vice versa)
-he didn't know Jake very well, but he hoped that he took care of Colleen once they were married

SUMMARY: Everyone isn't exactly excited about Colleen's leaving the band. They do want her to be happy, but they aren't ready to let her go yet.
