Chapter 5

The door opened, and I pushed away from Derek. My dad walked in the room.

"Derek, your mom wants you back at the room." he said. Derek got up and said goodbye and left.

"Where's mom?" I asked. "She went to the main floor to see if she could get extra blankets." he said walking to the bathroom. I just shook my head and went to my room. I sat on my bed thinking about what happened between me and Derek. I really wished I stopped him from kissing me. But no. I was stupid and let him.

I checked my phone to see what time it was. Then I forgot that Wade texted me. I unlocked my phone and started to text him back.

To Wade: Sure, it would be fun. What do you want to do tomorrow?

I left it at that. I changed into some pjs and walked back out to the living room. I saw my mom walking into her room. "Are you going to bed mom?" I asked. "Yes, your father is too. Oh, and we have plans with Dereks family tomorrow." I rolled my eyes. "What?" she asked with a confused face. "Well, I had plans with Wade tomorrow." I said looking down at my feet. "Oh, well you can hang out with him. Just not the whole day. We want you to hang out with Derek too. We are also planning to have dinner with them." she said. I said okay and goodnight.

I went into the cupboards to see if we had anything. We just had some plates, bowls, cups. ect. I grabbed a cup and filled it with water.

I walked back to my room and sat the water on my bed side table. I checked my phone and had a text from Wade.

From Wade: Idk yet, but I promise that I will think of something. I am pretty sure we can find something to do on this deathtrap. 

To Wade: Haha, okay sounds good :)

From Wade: Alrighty, well I gotta go to sleep. See you tomorrow. Night :)

To Wade: Night :)

I put my phone on its charger and got under my covers. Tomorrow is going to be fun. I can't wait. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

~Next Day~

I woke up to the sun shining through my window. I checked my phone to see what time it was. 7:47 am. I was a early riser. They directors on the boat said breakfast started at 6:00 am. So I decided to go get some. I got out of bed and went to my drawers. I was wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt. I thought I would get to hot so I took off my sweatpants and put on some yoga shorts instead. 

I walked out of my room and looked for some paper and a pen. I finally found a pen and paper. I wrote where I was going and put it on the bathroom mirror. Who doesn't look there in the morning? I walked out of the room and into the elevator.

When I got out of the elevator I walked over to the breakfast buffet and saw that not very many people were there. I grabbed a plate and started getting my food. After getting my food I sat down at a table and started to dig in.

"Hey Beautiful." some voice said and I looked up and saw Derek. Sadly. I looked back down at my plate. "Hi" I said softly trying not to make eye contact. Why couldn't it be Wade talking to me instead of him?

"I didn't think I was going to find you down here." he said sitting down in the chair in front of me. I didn't eat breakfast when I was dating Derek. Probably because he never ate breakfast. Big mistake. "Well, breakfast is the most important meal of the day." I said looking up. he chuckled to himself. 

"So what are you doing today Ky?" I hated when he called me Ky. It was so stupid. "It's Kylie, and i am hanging out with a friend." I said starting to eat my food again. "Oh, what is her name?" He asked leaning back in his chair. "HIS name is Wade." I said pushing my food away. "Oh." There was an awkward silence after that. 

"Kylie?" Someone said from behind me. I turned around and saw Wade. "Hey." I smiled at him. 'Mind if I join?" He asked holding up his plate of food. I motioned him to a chair and he sat down. Derek kept looking at him and finally said something. "Well I got to go. My mom wants me. I will see you tonight beautiful." He said standing up. "Bye" I said. Then he walked away.

"Beautiful?" Wade asked. I just rolled my eyes. "That was Derek. My ex. His family and my family are having dinner tonight. I am being forced to go." I said. "Oh, are you and Derek getting back together?" He asked shoving food in his face. For such a skinny boy he eats a lot. "Haha, no. No thank you. I am not going down that road again." He just chuckled to himself. "Well, i'm done eating. I'm going to go back to my room and get dressed for today." He said while standing up. "Okay. Do you have an idea of what we are going to do today?" I asked. "Yup, put your bathing suit on. We are going swimming." He said pointing to the ocean. My eyes opened wide. The ocean?!?!?
