Chapter 12

I'm laying in my bed right now. Not knowing what time it is. Maybe I was to harsh on him? Well, I don't know. It was a stupid idea to move here.

I shook it off. I sighed to myself. I felt really lonely, but that's my fault. I closed my eyes and tried to get some sleep but I couldn't. I kept rolling and Turing over but I couldn't fine a good position to sleep in. I gave up and just laid on my back staring at the ceiling.

I heard knocks on my door. I got up and looked through the peep hole. No one was there. When I was walking back there was another knock. I walked up to the door, held my breath, and opened it.

I took one step out the dirt just to be pushed back in.

"Hey!" I yelled while trying to keep my balance. I looked up and met with the same bluish greenish eyes. "What are you doing in here. I was trying to sleep." I said sitting on the bed while Wade sat on the desk. I guess he doesn't know what chairs are...

"Please forgive me." He said staring at me. I looked down at my hands. "Kylie. Please. I am so sorry for going off on you, I just, I wasn't thinking." He said with a sigh at the end. "I know." I said lifting my head up a little to see his face. It looked full of regret.

"I think you should go. I have to get some sleep." i said walking over to the door. He got up and stood in the sort way. "I'm really sorry." He said and I just stood there and waited for him to leave.

When he finally left I went to bed.

~In the morning~

"Hun, wake up. It's time to go." I slowly opened my eyes. I saw Wades grandmother towering over me. I sat up and she gave me a small plate of food. "Thank you." I said while taking a bite of my muffin. She just smiled. "We are leaving in about 20 mins." She said and I just nodded.

When she left the room I packed up all my things and set them down on my bed. I double checked again to make sure I had everything. I did so I left the room to see everyone standing by the car. Except for Wade who was already in the car. He looked so sad, but I just shook it off.

I got in the car, and Wade didn't make contact at all. His grandparents were still outside talking about who knows what. It was so awkward just sitting there in the car. Soon, his grandparents got in and started driving.

A couple minutes later his grandpa spoke up, "What's wrong with you kids? Tired?" I just shrugged and Wade just looked out the window.

It's official. I'm bored. There is absolutely nothing to do. It has been at least 3 hours and Wade hasn't said anything, and hasn't even looked at me. I wonder if I talk to him, maybe he will talk back? Probably not. I just sighed to myself. I really wish I had some head phones... And a phone. "Do you guys need to use the restroom? Because we have to." His grandpa said while pulling into a rest area. "No I'm good." I said and Wade still didn't say anything.

His grandparents got out of the car and left. I started to fiddle with my fingers. I looked up at Wade and he was already looking at me. I looked back down at my fingers, and Wade just got out of the car and left. Okay? I got out of the car also.

I went over to the brochures and looked through them. I looked over to my right to see Wades grandparents talking to someone. "They are gonna be talking for a while." Someone said and I jumped. I looked over and I was confused. It was Wade talking. "Really?" I asked trying not to make it awkward. "Yup." He said while flipping through the brochures. There was an awkward silence until Wade broke it. "Follow me." He whispered in my ear, it sent shivers down my spine.

I followed him out into the picnic area. He sat down on a bench and patted the spot next to him. I sat down, keeping a good distance. There were dogs and families running around. There were people throwing a frisbee, and people kicking around a soccer ball. More things happen at a rest area then you think. "I hate not talking to you." He said while staring off into the distance. I just raised an eyebrow, "Then why don't you?" I asked with confusion. He was the one who ignored me the whole car ride. " 'Cause I thought you weren't gonna answer." He said now looking down at his hands. "Well, if we are admitting what we are missing, then I miss your hugs." I said while looking at him. "Kids lets go!" His grandma yelled.

We got up and started walking. Wade stopped me half way and pulled me into a hug. "I'm really sorry Kylie." And I just hugged him tighter. "It's okay, and I'm sorry for fighting with you." we pulled apart and he just smiled at me. "It's fine." Then he started to lean in, and so did I. When I kissed him it felt like the first time again. "I also missed your sweet kisses." He said while setting his forehead on my. I smiled, "I didn't." I said running away.

I got into the car and sat down. Wade came in a little later with snacks. "How did you get those?" I asked then Wades grandpa came in and smiled. I just rolled my eyes playfully. "You want some?" Wade asked and I nodded smiling like an idiot. He gave me a small bag of chips, and I are them happily.

"I'm so excited to see your mom and dad Wade. I have missed them so much!" His grandma said. I have Wade a weird look. We don't know where our parents are.

"Wade?" His grandma asked. "Yes?" He asked hesitantly. "I called them but they didn't answer." She said looking down at her phone. "Grandma, mom and dad aren't home... I don't know where they are. When we wrecked we couldn't find them. Didn't I tell you that?" He said with a confused face. "No you did not! Why are we taking you back then if you don't even have your parents looking out for you! Wade you are in so much trouble, and I'm guessing Kylie doesn't know where her parents are either?" She said turning around to face me. "No ma'am." I said while looking down into my lap. She just sighed. "Eric! Look ou-" his grandpa slammed on the brakes and I hit my head on the seat in front of me. I leaned back to see Wades eyes closed. "Wade?" I tried saying but no words came out. My body went numb, and I couldn't move. Everything was going in slow motion, I couldn't hear anything, and then everything stopped. My breathing. It just stopped.
