Chapter 8

*BEEP BEEP BEEP* 

That's the sound I woke up to, and it wasn't my Alarm. "Kylie get up!" my dad said banging on the door. I grabbed my robe and put it over my pj's. I ran out of my room, "Whats going on?" I said getting out of the room following my parents. "I'm pretty sure it's a drill but it's one of those things we practice just in case we get in a wreck." My mom said following everyone and pulling my dad with her. "Wow, forget about me" I mumbled to myself. We took the stairs to get to the bottom of the ship. "This is a drill. I repeat this is a drill." someone said over the intercom. That made me feel better. While I was trying to catch up to my parents someone grabbed onto my hand I freaked out and pulled my hand away turned around real quick to see who is was and It was Wade. I took a deep breath and then smacked him in the arm. "You scared me to death!" I said trying to not fall with all these people rushing around us. "Sorry" he said chuckling. "We should probably go." I said and started walking. I felt his hand brush against mine when he started walking beside me and then he grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. I looked at our hands and smiled. 

We got to where we were suppose to go but I couldn't find my parents neither could Wade. "We should probably stay here until this drill is done and then find your parents." Wade said. "What about yours?" I asked. "I'll find them later it's fine." He said smiling at me. I smiled back. A couple minutes later the drill was over most of the people were going to breakfast and some were going back to their rooms. I decided to go back to the room. Me and Wade decided to race each other back there. "ready, set, GO!" we both yelled and started running. We were half way there until Abbie got in our way. "Wade." she said smiling and pushing me to the side. I just rolled my eyes. "So Wade, I wanted to know if you might wanna go out some time." she said smirking. I was waiting for him to answer. He looked surprised, but I wasn't. "Uh, Sorry Abbie but I can't." of course she didn't give up, "How about tomorrow?" she asked. "Abbie, I can't. I have u-uh Girlfriend." I gave Wade a confused look and Abbie didn't look so happy. "Fine then, but just so you know who ever this girl is I can treat you way better." He just chuckled and moved her to the side and grabbed my hand and said, "I don't think so." he started walking away and pulled me with him. I heard Abbie groan and stopping her feet while walking the opposite direction. 

We got to the elevator and we were the only ones in their. "Girlfriend?" I said, and he just smiled and looked at the ground. "That sounds right. If it's okay with you." I nodded my head and he finally pressed the button for our floor, and after that he came up to me and kissed me. Our lips were moving in sync then the elevator dinged and we pulled apart smiling. "I think that's us." he said and we both walked out of the elevator. We walked to my room and knocked on the door. My mom opened. "Oh Kylie good your okay." she said hugging. "Thanks for watching out for her Wade. Would you like to come in?" she asked and he said sure. When we walked in of course Dereks family is in the room including Derek. I just rolled my eyes and started walking to my room and Wade followed. When we got into my room I shut the door and went to my dresser. "Don't you have to get back to your family?" I asked grabbing my clothes for today. "Nah, I think it will be fine." he said plopping down on my bed. "I'm gonna go change." I said walking out of my room. I went into the bathroom and locked the door. I put on my shorts and t-shirt. I washed my face and then brushed out my hair and put it into a side braid then I did my business. I walked out of the bathroom and went into my room and it looked like Derek and Wade were having a fun time together. They can't be friends, but I'm gonna have to deal with it. I walked over to the other side of my bed and grabbed my phone and headphones then walked out of the room. 

"I'm gonna go take a walk mom." I said putting on my sandals. "What about the boys?" she said pointing to the room. "I think they are fine." I said walking out the door, and closing it behind me. I got to the elevator and went down to the deck. I sat on one of the chairs next to the pool and plugged in my headphones and turned on Kiss you Slow by Andy Grammer. I layed in my feeling the nice warm sun on my slightly tanned skin. A few minutes later I felt someone hovering over me. "Your blocking my sun." I said pulling out my headphones. "That's the point." Wade said grabbing a chair and setting it right next to mine. I layed back down in my chair and crossed my arms. "You know you left me right?" he sayed laying on his side to face me. "Yup." I said. "Why?" he asked. "Because you were hanging out with Derek." I said finally turning on my side to face him. "I didn't want to talk to him, but I didn't want to be rude so you know I kind of had to." he said grabbing my hand. "What were you guys talking about?" I asked and he sighed saying, "He was saying that if I wanted to date you then I should know that you are very clingy and selfish." I just rolled my eyes. "But I don't believe that." he said smiling. I smiled and rolled over to face the sun again, only to have another shadow to block it. "Wade, you are such a cheater!" A girl said smacking Wade across the face. "What the heck?" Then I heard the beeping again. 

*BEEP BEEP BEEP* 

"Wade?" I asked then the whole ship shooked to one side throwing me out of the chair. "Kylie!" was the last thing I heard before blacking out.
