Warnings: none! (I believe) High school Kellic, best friends, that like to kiss, as friends.

The school bell rings loudly in the hallways and the classroom begins filling with giddy and impatient students rather quickly. I was already in my seat because I had nothing else to do and my previous class finished earlier than expected, so I came here to pass the time writing down on my journal and playing games on my phone. I could've just gone home and skip this last period but I didn't want to miss out on the last Lit class with Miss Williams, even if we did nothing. Don't judge me.
Everyone is so ecstatic around me. You can feel it in the air and see it on everyone's faces. Today is the last day of school. Basically the best day of the year if you ask anyone. All the kids are so excited for the summer and the time off and lazing around for a couple months. But for us it's different now because this will be our last summer before shit hits the fan next fall and we become seniors. It's crazy to think about how it's all happening. I try not to think about it too much yet. Doesn't make the thought of summer any less exciting though.
Kellin plops down on the seat in front of me and shoots me a smile. He's a few minutes late, as usual, but so is our teacher so I guess he's not in trouble. He wouldn't be anyway because Miss Williams loves him. Everyone does, really. Something about him is just captivating. I don't know.
He leaves his bag on the floor and turns to me, sitting sideways on the chair and leaning his chin on his crossed black-jacket-covered forearms. His big blue eyes shining with the light coming from the window beside our seats.
"Man, I can't wait for that bell to ring one more time so we can leave this hell for good." He says tiredly and I chuckle. He's just bored already, I doubt he's even tired.
"Amen to that."
"Hey, did I ever tell you what my cousin Gina did last week?" He lifts his head, suddenly more awake. "She's insane, like last week she was at this club downtown and..."
As he starts rambling on and on about whatever Gina got herself into last Saturday, I take out a Sharpie from my pencil bag and grab his left hand into mine. He doesn't even notice. This kid really enjoys talking about anything all the time. I don't mind one bit. I guess he speaks enough for the both of us. Plus, I always like listening to his voice.
I uncap the marker with my teeth and ponder what to draw on his wrist, but then get a better idea and start coloring his middle fingernail instead. I smile as I see the dark ink contrast with his pale skin. When I finish that one I start with his index finger next, making sure the scribbles are all nice and even while I listen to Gina's wild club experience. His skin is so soft. I think he uses a night cream or something because there's no way it's this soft naturally. Even though it wouldn't surprise me in the least. That's the type of person Kellin is.
"Are you even listening to me?" Kellin pokes me on the forehead with his other hand.
"Of course," I grin as I finish with his thumb and look up at him to see him mock glaring at me.
"What are you even doing?"
"Art. Obviously."
He looks at his hand shaking his head. "Are you making a statement or something."
"Hm, we're saying goodbye to fragile masculinity."
"And hello to 2008 emo?"
I snort. "Well, you have that covered already."
He grins and raises an eyebrow. "Am I supposed to be offended?"
I grin right back at him.
"Now don't move or you're going to ruin my masterpiece," I focus on his hand again, finishing off his pinky.
