A complete month had flown by with a blink of an eye. After that interesting first day of school, and things seemed to be back in order. We'd go to breakfast, listen to lectures, do homework, hang out with friends, and repeat the whole process. Not that I minded, in fact I enjoy listening to my professors, and hanging out with the same old goofballs everyday; they made Hogwarts that much more enjoyable and fantastic by the minute. Professor Moody seems to have cooled off ever since our first encounter in class. He's taken the whole yelling and learning process a level down unlike the first day. Don't get me wrong he was still frightening,  just not as insane as before.

As for Cedric, well... I haven't really hung out with him as much as I did the first week. Sure we greeted each other with a friendly hello, but other than that we went our separate ways. I'd always hang out in the library to do all of my work, and then head straight for the Gryffindor Common Room to see the Golden Trio and my other fellow friends. Whereas Cedric, was always hanging out with his annoying friends and nonstop with Quidditch practice. To be honest, I do feel like Im trying to avoid Cedric at times especially when he's with his crew. I've never liked most of his friends, even if they are fellow Hufflepuffs. They're the type of guys that think they're so cool grabbing attention from everyone especially with other girls. They were the type of guys that believed that they're "hot stuff" when in reality 60% of them are just a bunch of douchebags. They haven't picked on me yet, most likely because I'm too little to be noticed, and that day better not come this way.

It was a long hard day studying for my potions exams. I went straight to my dorm and plopped onto my comfy bed, convinced I was in heaven and that nothing could disturb my peaceful slumber.

"Dana!!!!" Lara yelled as she threw a pillow at me. I honestly didn't feel like responding, so I took the pillow that she threw and placed it under my head for extra comfort. "Don't you dare go back to sleep! It's the last day for the Goblet of Fire."

"Great! And I should care why?" I asked sleepily.

"Because everyone else is going to be down there?"

" But I don't do big crowds."

"The Weasley twins are gonna enter!!"

"Last time I checked they were 16." I pointed out with my eyes still closed

"Okay how about for Diggory then?  You know he expects to see you there."

"Get real. He has hundreds of people there to support him, Im sure he's not gonna notice that I'm not there."

"Oh really? Because that's not what I heard him say after the Quidditch meeting."

"Lara, why are you so intent on making me go?  You have Annie and Belle. If you wanna go that badly go with them, Im exhausted."

"Because. Diggory hasn't stopped talking about you since the first day of school and he hasn't hung out with you in three weeks. You need to support him."

" But why? He has tons of other people supporting him too."

"Has it ever crossed your mind that the girls he's trying to impress by entering the tournament are for girls like you? "

"No, because like I said were just friends, barely even best friends."

" Oh my Merlin stop trying to make this whole situation about being friends with him, thats not the point. Why can't you accept the fact that a guy.. a genuinely nice, hot guy might actually like you back?"

I let out a heavy sigh and admitted the fact that I wasn't going to win this argument with Lara. Wether I liked it or not, she was going to drag met to the Great Hall no matter what it took. I reluctantly got out of my bed and fixed my messy, bedhead self.

"Okay let's go, no use lying in bed if I'm just gonna end up arguing with you the entire night." I said.

"Good choice Matthews. Good choice."

The Great Hall looked rather dark, and the only light that shined brightly in the room was the Goblet of Fire which was emitting a never ending blue flame. It shined more and more as a student enter their name in the enchanting goblet. I pitied them, in a way. Say these three lucky people did get chosen, who's to promise that everyone will make out alive or without going completely mad. I heard a group of guys yelling and laughing as they were running toward the Goblet of Fire, but I tried my best to pay not attention, until I heard a name.

"COME ON CEDRIC PUT IT IN!" someone yelled. Cedric was soaking wet from the rain and yet again surround by his unruly posse. He was laughing along with them and looked at the goblet with anticipation. After three seconds of thinking it over, he put his name in and smiled. Everyone cheered for him, but I never thought the day would come when he turned around to steal a glance from me. His grey eyes met my dark brown ones. Neither of us made a move to walk over to each other and talk, but at the same time it wasn't like we had too. The conversation was taking place in our minds, we both knew what we were thinking, and all we had to do was smile at each other. Well for Cedric it was more like flash a pearly white smile and an irresistible wink. With that, he left with his friends while I stayed behind to watch the famous Weasley twins pull of the ultimate prank.

With perfect timing, the duo entered the Great Hall with vials in their hand.

"YESSSSSS!" they yelled expressing their age potion success. Everyone in the room cheered for them, all except for Hermione.

"It's not going to work!" She sang. The twins sat down with her to settle this little dispute.

" And why is that Granger?" Fred asked.

" You see that circle at the bottom of the Goblet? That's an age line."

"And?" George asked.

"So, a great wizard like Dumbledore couldn't possibly be fooled by a bunch of dim witted wizards like yourselves." She explained as she closed her book

"But that's why our plan is gonna be so successful isn't Granger?"

"Because it's stupidly dim witted." The twins got up from their seats and got ready to put their plans into action.

"Ready Fred?"

"Ready George."

"Bottom's up." they sang in unison. After drinking the potion, they look a wondrous leap of faith over the age line. So far their plan was..... actually working. I'm impressed. Everyone cheered as phase 1 was complete. All they had to do was add their names in the goblet. As they put it in, it seemed like they actually succeeded.

"YESSSS!" They yelled. All the students continued to cheer, in shock that it actually worked....well at least for a few seconds. The goblet was spitting out blue flames, that eventually hit both the twins, making them look way older than they were. Their hair was longer, white and they even had merlin's beard. Literally. This made everyone burst into laughter as the twins started to fight blaming each other for the potions failure, but then the room became quiet as Victor Krum entered the room. All the students were staring at him as he put his name in the Goblet. It was quite intense especially, when he turned to look at Hermione. No one else noticed, but me. It was the same look that Cedric just gave to me, well maybe Cedric's stare was a little less scary, and a little more comforting, but I wonder...
The next morning, I had woken up bright and early before anyone else again. The sun hasn't risen yet which could only mean that I woke up a little too early... again. My guess would be that it was 3 am in the morning right now.  It was so difficult for me to stay asleep no matter how hard I tried, especially with the jet lag. If I was back home in New Jersey it would probably be around 11 at night, but what can I do? I stretched out my back, and headed down to the common room, but I was surprised to see another person up so early. Based on his messy brown hair and tall, slim figure; I knew it was Cedric.
