I hated myself for thinking that I wasn't good enough to be Cedric's friend, because in the long run, I've started to believe it. This friendship couldn't possibly live up to my expectations. By the time we arrive at Hogwarts, he'll forget about me and become Mr. Popular. He could have any girl in this school and certainly he wouldn't go for the boring American girl. So to save the trouble of getting both of us hurt in the end, I'll just avoid him. Maybe I'll give him a smile now and then, but that's the end of it. I looked up once again, only to see him gesturing to come talk to him. Remembering what I told myself, I gave him a sad smile and mouthed thank you as I headed back into my compartment. Everyone fell asleep, so I leaned my head on the cold window and drifted off  as well for the remaining hours of the ride.

The train made it's symbolic noise, letting us know that we have finally arrived to Hogwarts. I grabbed my bulky bags and made my way to the carriages that lead the students to the castle. The trio and I went our separate ways once we entered the school. As they headed straight for the Gryffindor Common Room, I made my way down to Hufflepuff ; repeating the password "Wither Light" to allow me entrance. The place still looked the same and I was satisfied with it. I missed the coziness of the room, the smell of the firewood, and the spiral staircases that lead to my room. There were three other girls already in the room  having their little home away from home reunion as they unpacked their bags.  Lara, Annie, and Belle, were their names and they were all sisters. In fact, they were triplets. No one could ever really tell that they were because they were fraternal triplets and had completely different personalities. Lara had golden brown hair and she had a passion for Quidditch. Annie was the girl with autumn hair who had a love for mythical creatures. As for Belle, she had dark brown hair and enjoyed being a bookworm, reading all day everyday. One would always be shyer than the other, more bubbly than another, and more stubborn than the rest.

"All right. I think we've got everything all settled in." Lara said as she clasped her hands

"Hey forgetting someone?" I asked with my arms open wide.

"DANA!!!" They squealed as they ran to hug me. " WE MISSED YOU. HOW WERE THINGS IN AMERICA ?"

"Oh everything's great! You know what they say. No place like home." These three crazy girls were my roommates and also my good friends. I don't really tell them exactly everything that happens in my life, just my life in America, boys, and school. You know you're typical girl friends. They helped me get my belongings in order and fix up my bed until our room looked perfect. It was almost time to head into the Great Hall for the welcome dinner, so we decided to get there now, before our table starts to fill up. By the time we made it downstairs in the Common Room, I saw him again. Looks like this year wasn't going to give me any mercy, and just let me be. Why should I care if I see Cedric Diggory? He's not gonna like me like that and certainly not with a girl that's 2 years younger than him. Plus maybe I'm not looking for a relationship yet. After what my friend Kaitlyn in America told me about her now ex-boyfriend, I certainly don't want to be in one now. I kept walking with Lara, Annie, and Belle behind me, praying he wouldn't see me. Just walk out the door it'll only take five seconds maybe three if I'm fast enough. I made toward the door with my head low and it seemed like no problem, but I couldn't help and look to see if he did notice me. All I saw was him and a few of his friends laughing hysterically at who knows what. When I took a step out of the door, all I heard was "C'mon Ced! What are you staring at?".

"Dana why are you in such a rush its only a quarter past 6? We still have plenty of time before the welcome dinner." Belle asked.

"No reason, I just wanted to walk around the halls for a bit. You know it doesn't get this empty often unless it's night time." I lied.

" What are you taking about? It's usually empty when--" Lara tried to explain, but to cover myself, I interrupted her saying something that was kinda of believable.
