Seven classes down and one more to go. I headed up to the third floor and made my way to my next class Defense Against the Dark Arts with Professor Moody. It was common for me to freak out over a subject whenever a new teacher steps in, and after seeing Professor Moody at the welcome dinner, who wouldn't be terrified. What if he's meaner and more strict than Snape? What if his exams are a complete doorway to hell?

I was so nervous that I wasn't gonna make it through this subject, but there was no way out of it. I opened the door to class, only to see it vacant. Perfect I was the first one here, but at least it shows student dedication, maybe the professor will admire that; then again Im just gonna look like a complete kissass to the teacher. A title no one in any type of school would ever want. It's lame and pretty sad if you were the the type of student that butt kissed your teachers just to get a higher grade instead of actually learning and doing the work. I took a seat in the middle where I had the perfect view of the board and soon kids started pouring into the class and grabbing a seat.

A couple of Ravenclaws, and Slytherins came in and took seats in the far back of the class. Then the trio entered and I made sure they took the seats around me. Now this was what I called the perfect seat. I could hear everyone around me talk about the Triwizard Tournament, who was entering, who was they were gonna bet on, how they were gonna get away with the age limit. Hermione and I looked at Ron as if he was a mad man talking about how Fred and George have made the perfect scheme to enter.

"Honestly Ron. You really think you and your brothers are gonna get away with it?" I asked.

" I mean they're pretty skilled pranksters, so Im sure they're gonna make it." Ron said with complete faith.

"Really, so you're telling me that they're gonna be able to fool Dumbledore with their sad wits." Hermione laughed.

"Well---. You're right maybe this isn't such a great idea. But I mean it's not like Dumbledore's gonna be around so.." he protested.

"At least Harry's smart enough to not get involved and try anything stupid. Right Harry?" I said patting his head.

"Well-- I mean it couldn't hurt to have some fun and try?" Harry replied. Hermione and I glared at him, knowing that he should know better. He backed away and nervously  said "Joking only Joking."

Before any of us could say something, Professor Moody had entered the class room and made his way to the board writing his name.
"Good morning class. I am Professor Moody. M-O-O-D-Y. I am here because Dumbledore told me to be here. To teach you guys what Defense Against the Dark Arts is really about. Any Questions? Good . End of Story." He said in a somewhat harsh tone. The entire class fell silent, not during what to say or do. Professor Moody eventually broke the silence, but it was mostly due to the fact that he was scolding Finnigan for putting his gum under the desk, and eventually throwing an eraser at him after talking back. Oh yeah definitely have no reason to worry about this class for the entire year.

He started on his lesson about the Unforgivable Curses asking how many and why they were named that. Of course Hermione answered it, even though anyone could tell that she was uncomfortable with this lesson. Her voice made it sound like she was about to break down and cry. I knew in my mind that this didn't seem right as well . The first day in front of fourth and fifth year students? Was he really going to perform each one?

"Sir, these curses are a one way ticket to Azkaban and were far too young to learn this. Why are you about to demonstrate them?" I asked.

"Well Miss Matthews is it?  The Ministry seems ago agree with your little innocent answer." He stoops and slams his desk."WELL I THINK NOT! YOU NEED TO LEARN WHAT YOU'RE UP AGAINST. AND IN ORDER TO LEARN YOU MUST SEE! ANY OTHER RIDICULOUS QUESTIONS?" he yelled.
