Muslims pray five times a day; not that ALLAH/God is in need of worship, but simply to show God their appreciation and gratitude for giving them everything, a universe, a life-friendly world, existence, life, body, organs, etc, etc. God says in the Qur'an: "Andifyouwere to count the favors of ALLAH, you could notenumeratethem. Now imagine if you (God forbid) had an accident and needed immediate blood transfusion, and someone, whom you don't know, happened to have the same blood type and was ready to donate some for you. Suddenly, both of your kidneys ceased functioning, and the same person stepped forward to give you one of his own. In a while, after regaining consciousness, and knowing of the altruistic deeds of that stranger, how immensely grateful would you be to that person!
