An everlasting pride for the members of the Islamic faith is that one of them established what is now called "The Scientific Method" a thousand years plus ago. It is no exaggeration that Muslims are standing on the shoulders of giants.

The first scientist, if you may, and the father of optics, Hasan Ibn Al-Haytham had been conducting extensive scientific experiments in the field of optics that contributed immensely to the discovery of cameras, magnifying glasses, etc.

He also made huge discoveries in mathematics and physics, as he had written more than 200 books unfortunately lost to us forever, while the remaining were translated to European languages shedding new lights of wisdom upon the inhabitants of the west.
