Dream SMP explained

(4) L'manburg

On July 24th, 2020 Wilbur Soot joined the SMP

He attempted to start up a drug trade on the server (potions), based in a hot dog van, also known as the "Camarvan". He started off by recruiting tommy, and saying they needed to "create scarcity" before they would be able to sell anything. They did this by attempting to steal all potions, and potion stands from the rest of the SMP members.

L'manburg was originally named "Manberg", but they added the L' in attempt to make it sound more European, as all of the members of L'manberg were, in fact, European. 

After Dream found out about L'manburg, he refused it as an independent nation, Wilbur then wrote the L'manburg declaration of independence, and Dream writes a declaration of War in response. 

Fundy (Wilbur's rp son) and Eret then join L'manburg. Eret builds on it and adds a large blackstone wall as a border.

The members of L'manburg then go into battle against the dreamteam (george, dream and sapnap), and they end up destroying TommyInnit's embassy. After the battle, Eret leads the rest of the members into a control room, containing chests full of equipment and a button. They then find out that the chests are actually empty, and Eret presses the button, revealing him as a traitor, the dream team then run into the room and kill the rest of the members. Wilbur, tommy, tubbo and fundy each lose their first canon life. 

Dream then tells them that they must surrender, or Dream will explode a piece of TNT in L'manburg grounds. Wilbur believes the threat to be just that, and refuses to surrender. They then find out that L'manburg had actually been filled with large amounts of TNT, and the members have to flee to tommy's bunker as the nation explodes behind them.

Tommy then ends up challenging Dream to a duel. If tommy were to win, L'manburg would be given independence, but if Dream won, L'manburg would surrender, and tommy would have to give dream one of his discs. Dream ends up killing Tommy, and he loses his second canon life. He then decides that L'manburg is more important than the discs, and gives them both to dream so the nation could be free. Dream accepts and L'manburg is founded as an independent nation.

Wilbur becomes the first president of L'manburg, Tommy the "Treasury of state", and Tubbo the secretary of state. Tommy later becomes the Vice president.

Eret is then crowned as "king of the dream smp", as a part of the deal he made with dream.

Jack Manifold and Nihachu then join the smp as citizens of L'manburg. Dream tries to get Jack to join the Dream SMP, but he stays in L'manburg, as he's friends with Tommy and Tubbo.

Quackity, Skeppy and Karl Jacobs join the SMP.

Nihachu builds a bakery.

Dream stops Phantoms spawning on the server, causing phantom membranes to become incredibly valuable. Tommy then steals everyone else's Membranes.

Wilbur said he regretted making himself president without holding an election, so he decided to hold one. His original plan was to close the ballot before anyone actually knew about the election, so Wilbur and Tommy would be the only ones running, but Quackity found out about the election before they were able to, and set up an opposition party.

The two parties were the POG2020 campaign, Wilbur and Tommy and the SWAG2020 campaign, which consisted of Quackity and George.

They held a debate in King's Court, and the election was held on September 20th, 2020.

Just before the election, Nihachu and Fundy decide to set up their own party, COCONUT2020, and they give a good campaign speech. Jschlatt then gives a questionable speech, in which he sets up his own party, SCHLATT2020. The poll then goes live and fans are able to vote.

Wilbur and Tommy then realise that they may not win, and Schlatt might end up in control of L'manburg, so they attempt to get Quackity to form a coalation government, but Quackity ends up forming it with Schlatt instead.

On September 22nd, two days later, the results came in. They found out that Fundy had botted a lot of votes for COCONUT2020, so they filtered out all of the bot votes. The results come in as- COCONUT2020 with 9%, SCHLATT2020 with 16%, SWAG2020 with 30%, and POG2020 with 45%. Tommy celebrates the victory for a few seconds, but it is then revealed that SCHLATT2020, and SWAG2020 pooled their votes, and ended up with 46%, making Jschlatt the president-elect of L'manburg.

Hbomb joins the SMP.

As soon as Schlatt becomes president, he sets himself up as dictator, and after a series of passionate speeches, he revokes tommy and wilbur's citizenship, exiling them from the nation. Jschlatt then changes the name to Manburg, he said it was because "we don't take L's here", and it was also because he's American. He Takes down the walls surrounding Manburg, and declares Tubbo to keep his position as Secretary of State, making him his right-hand man.

Tommy and Wilbur leave Manburg, and Wilbur is shot down by Punz whilst trying to leave the city, taking his second canon life. Tommy and Wilbur then build a base in a forest hill. 

Technoblade tweets at Tommy and Wilbur, offering to help them take down Schlatt.

Techoblade joins the server, and him, wilbur and tommy, created pogtopia, which was based around overthrowing Schlatt. The original forest base is corrected to a ravine, which is turned into pogtopia's center of operations. 

Antfrost joins the SMP.
