Mingyu, a eighteen year old high schooler, always seen with his Nintendo switch and its teal case up in his face as he concentrated on his game. No one bothered to disturb him whilst he was in game, his constant clicking of the buttons as he tried to complete his quests.

"Who are you playing?" Minghao walked over, towering over the seated guy, observing the movements of the coloured screen.

"Wonwoo," Mingyu answered as his eyes continue to glue to the screen.

"Then who do you main?"

"Wonwoo."

"Oh damn," Minghao leaned in closer, "How long have you played him for?"

"Ever since upon his release."

"Minghao, you don't want to be talking to him while he's in game," Jun peeped his head into the class, giving the younger a small warning before Minghao follows along.

You see, Mingyu was addicted to the game, and if you were to specifically say, the reason why he continued to play the old game was due to the then newly released character, Wonwoo. And if you were to ask;

"Hey Mingyu, if you could date anyone in this world, who would it be?"

"Fictional included?"

"Yeah."

Mingyu would ponder for a while, but the answer was already clear and made in his head, "Wonwoo."

"Why?"

"He's just perfect in all ways, have you seen him?" Would always be Mingyu's answer.

But there was a saying, that once in a thousand days, your favourite fictional character would become reality. Mingyu never really believed that, since he had been playing Wonwoo for about three years or so, and it never once happened.

"Sorry, I have to go early tonight. There's an event for my game today and it's the last day today, so I have to grind." Mingyu apologised before leaving his group of friends in the nearby restaurant from school.

He turned his switch on, entering the game that was too overplayed by him, he was greeted by no other, Wonwoo.

'Welcome back.'

Mingyu smiled as he saw the figure of Wonwoo appear before him, "Thanks."

When he entered his apartment, he slipped off his shoes and left his bag at the entrance, turning on the lights in his living room as he walked into his own room. Mingyu then turned on the water for his shower before placing his switch down on his bed.

"If there's four hours left, and I could complete at least 7 quests in an hour, I could at least get..." Mingyu talked to himself in the shower as he calculated the amount of rewards he'd be able to receive by the end of the night. He was really invested in the game, there was once, where his younger sister had touched his switch, causing it to almost erase all its data, and if Mingyu had not walked into the living room then, Wonwoo would've been gone as well. He threw tantrums after losing the data, occasionally crying at night after realising he'd lost all his inventory.
